Remember when "Climate Change" was a subversive Republican name change? - IT'S GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is a more accurate name. Too bad 70iq retards took that to mean "there's no global warming because I gots a snowball dddddddd" since they can't understand the most basic of concepts.

That was a different issue entirely and was for the most part solved due to sensible government regulations that resulted in the phasing out of many chemicals/substances.

Shocking to think things might have changed since the 70s right? Agricultural practices have gotten better and far more efficient on every single level. If we were still farming and distributing food like it was 1970 many people very well might have starved, but technology saves the day.

It also helps that population growth has slowed over time too.
lmao the gay furry defends liberals climate change nonesense thanks for proving us right

No, I seem to recall that thanks to a few unusually cold winters and some breakdown of the "science" they had been harping on, "global warming" no longer made sense, and "global climate change" could be used to account for both unusually hot years and unusually cold years.

"Let's ignore the rest of the post that was of significantly more consequence".
The rest of the post. The one where you:

Bring up the same strawman every mainstream news article has for 30 years to pretend they're addressing the "other side of the issue".

Claim government regulations were the solution for an environmental issue. I don't necessarily disagree with this specific take hence why I did not respond to it.

This only applies to western countries. Other countries indiscriminately douse their crops and cattle with insecticides and fertilizer, and I'm sure we've yet to reap what they've sewn with that practice, no pun intended.

I didn't respond to the rest of your post because I didn't care about the rest of it. Here's my response. Fuck you.

Quiet.

I did some more Googling and CNN proclaims you're right.
But people didn’t all switch because of politics. The National Academies explained in its 2005 report that the phrase “climate change” helps convey that there are changes in addition to temperature.
But I still have to note Frank Luntz via Dubya brought Climate Change into the common vernacular a full 3 years before this report. And Luntz's logic is sound "Climate Change" does not scare me. Others ITT point out Trumpian logic "It's cold as hell today wtf are you eggheads trying to scare me with GLOBAL WARMING." But you're telling me "Climate Change" is better? Because my response is "The Earth is billions years old of course the climate is gonna change you stupid nerd."

Again let me repeat my stupid joke again because call it TOTAL GLOBAL DEATH. TGD sounds terrifying. It makes me want to "Kill Polluters. Behead Polluters. Roundhouse kick a polluter into the concrete...."

I vividly remember a stupid hippie teacher I had back in the 70s when I was in grade school who told us that global warming was going to cause the glaciers to melt and the seas to rise and that much of the lands of the Earth would be flooded. She even had a stupid map that some asshole had made that showed how the world would look all flooded out.

Moonbeam told us that all this would happen within the next decade because of "pollution".

The stupid flood map showed that most of California was underwater, and there was a girl in the class who started crying, because her grandmother lived in California.

Stupid fucking hippies.

I hope that stupid teacher died a horrible death that involved dropping the brown acid, and having a stroke.

Half a century later, and there's a whole new pack of assholes telling me the same stupid bullshit.

I just find it funny that eventually Climate Change became the preferred designation because how could Democrats complain about Global Warming if the populace is dealing with a winter storm like the one going on now?
I'm not surprised. Back in the 2000s it was a common cliché joke to say "Well, so much for global warming!" whenever it rained or got a bit cold.

Despite being raised California I can’t say I remember much indoctrination. The one thing I do remember was a classroom assembly where some old hippies came out and told us about The Rainforest and how we gotta not destroy it.

I remember thinking about that assembly and thinking “My age is in single digits, what am I supposed to do for the damn rainforest?” Now I’m well in adulthood and my ability to preserve the rainforest is just as strong as it was back then.

And that’s how I feel about Climate Change as well, a plebian like me doesn’t have a fraction to save Mother Earth.

There was an entire South Park episode about this in the 90s.

I remember when it was called POLLUTION and it was caused by factories, vehicles with big engines, and things going on fire.

Now that there are clean air laws that have guidelines for preventing that sort of thing, and factories are discouraged from dumping their waste wherever whenever, it is better. Ask any older person that lived in Los Angeles during the '70s what the air was like.

I won't be worried about the environment until I see cruise ships and private planes outlawed.
They just moved the factories overseas now. Still dumping and pumping shit, except now it's out of sight. Except oooops all the blue collar jobs are gone!

Stop noticing the fact that the summers are clearly warmer than they've been 20 years ago, libtard.
