No doubts about that. But I mean I try to read this and those two sentences mention 'the beast' torturing Jaina. Now, my default assumption when I see the phrase 'the beast fell' is usually some kind of huge slobbering monstrosity, but she also mentions that it was 'nonchalantly torturing' so was it some kind of humanoid demon? I assume it's a mob in a raid that a WoW player would recognize from this particular raid, but she doesn't even bother to name it. She says they're in 'The Maw' but I don't know what that looks like-- again, I assume somebody familiar with the raid would have an idea, but she doesn't even pretend to give sensory information. At least tell me what the walls should look like-- I don't know if this is a cave or a fortress or a fleshy demon dimension.
I've read plenty of bad fanfiction in my day. People projecting all over the characters, turning love interest into monsters just to justify an alternative ship, putting leather pants on Draco Malfoy... frustrating, but a hallmark of the genre. I'm at a loss for the last time I read a serious fanfic that couldn't even be bothered to mention if the scene was taking place indoors or not.
Wait, I thought this fic was just about Anduin mind controlling her and repeatedly raping her.
This fic is, IIRC, over 100,000 words long. There's gotta be more than one torturer involved.
That said I think she also wrote a
dififerent fanfic where Anduin mind controlled and raped Anevay (plus a hurt/comfort fic where Sylvanas comforted Anevay post-Anduin rape). This keeps coming up.
Also: why the fuck are rape and non-consensual bonds such a common plot point with her writing? I mean, we all know why, but fuck, for someone that claims to have been raped and is so loudly against it she sure as shit writes about it in nearly everything she does.
Two reasons.
One, as you alluded to and as I'll flat-out say, she gets off to imagining women being raped. One of the common features of her lewd ask parties is accepting a distressing number of asks that talk about brutalizing, humiliating, and raping the puppet.
Two, she's lazy. This isn't necessarily a Lily thing (although writing a 100k word fanfic dedicated to sexually brutalizing your OC is definitely a Lily thing); it's a very common and lazy way for writers in any medium to communicate how evil and irredeemable a character is by just adding 'also a rapist' on top of their list of crimes. Want to communicate to your audience they're a very bad person and they shouldn't feel any symppathy? "Also a rapist, ooh, wow, isn't that horrifying?" It's just cheap shock value.
But in a case like this, bonus points if you also get your rocks off to it.
