This is basically just John Krisfaluchi the guy from Ren and Stimpy who was a fuckin dirt bag creep with a name I can't spell. Like this is literally nothing new.as long as you separate the show from the drama its fun. And the drama is its own fun
Unless it comes out that Vivzie was grooming and molesting kids, she's nowhere near the level of awful that John K is. John K is a monster. Talented animator, but utter monster as a human being.

Since there is gonna be another new influx of people not familiar with VivziePop, I’m gonna re-quote my post from earlier giving a rundown on Viv, plus a few more additions:
Most likely yes. Since you are new to this thread, I will try to give you a rundown on the retarded shit Viv has done. I’ll divide it into two parts: criticism of her media and criticism of her character:

Her Media:
- Helluva Boss, an online series set in the same universe as Hazbin, and which started out as a comedy about Imp hitmen and their antics (distinguishing itself from Hazbin, which was always intended to be more of a comedy/drama) has devolved into gay fujo melodrama that has alienated some of the people who were fans of the show (including many in this thread).
- Related, Viv has an obsession with gay male relationships, which often comes to dominate her media.
- Several characters in HB have been criticized for lacking depth or being one-note (namely Loona, Millie, and Stella, all of whom are women which really gets the noggin joggin).
- As I and others have repeatedly pointed out, the above criticism wouldn’t be an issue if she hadn’t turned HB into a pseudo-melodrama.
- Her shows use swearing and sex jokes as a crutch, which has led to the “written by VivziePop meme” where you take a scene from a show and just fuck its shit up with swearing and sex jokes:
Direct link: https://youtube.com/watch?v=QsL1OgmjLN8
- She had said she wouldn’t include trannies in the Hazbin-verse but one of the first couple episodes of HB had a trans Imp show up voiced by a tranny (although they weren’t that intrusive).
- Her shows have a very 2000’s fedora-tipping perspective on religion and Christianity
- This part of my post ended up being mostly about Helluva Boss, but many of the same issues date back to one of her first major works, a webcomic named Zoophobia (a can of worms in and of itself that others in this thread are probably more qualified to talk about). It namely suffers from a similar issue to HB where what started out with a creative and interesting premise ended up losing sight of itself.

Her Character:
- Viv has had Twitter meltdowns related to just about all of the above criticisms (one particular example is when the video posted above went viral and she started passive aggressively tweeting/seething about the swearing criticism), and is just generally terminally online.
- This is despite the fact that she is effectively the public face of her animation studio, and is making business dealings with Amazon and A24.
- Is a massive fujoshi who clearly schlicks it to gay dudes, often under the veneer of being progressive.
- Alleged to have replaced the well-liked indie voice cast of the Hazbin pilot solely so she could get Broadway actors in the roles instead (most of whom have been considered a downgrade to the originals).
- Accused of mistreating and underpaying her animators.
- Increasingly panders to the Tumblr crowd despite them being a constant source of drama
- Is a furry.
- Is lol fat.
- A bunch more shit I either forgot, didn’t know about, or are unsubstantiated rumors.

Since the style is so similar I assume these are the same lads who did helluva boss who also inspired that rabbithole fag to become an owl furry

This studio must be cia funded to inspire so much autism
Yes they are, in fact Helluva and Hazbin are set in the same universe.

The original dynamic between the two was originally supposed to be that Helluva was a comedy while Hazbin was a comedy/drama. But so much retarded and literal gay melodrama has been inserted into Helluva that the real distinction between the two is that Helluva is released on YouTube while Hazbin is to be on Amazon Prime.

From what I understand Vivziepop has rich family members with connections in the animation business.

She just happens to be a semi-talented animator as well.

I like the gay melodrama tbh. Tons of shit has straight melodrama so why not gay melodrama?

Shit, mecha anime wouldn't exist without gay melodrama.

Average modern animation studio practices nepotism, is irresponsible with hiring and has weirdos working in it... more at 11

Really? You might as well make a thread about every other studio in existence
Turns out if you want to take down an animation studio, all you need is fifty thousand dollars and a music video depicting your custom made R34.

You know at least with the Japanese, they just work the animators to death, especially MAPPA, nothing special in the industry. Having a "noncon" fetishist (rape) on the team, finding out, then actively defending him?

America really is better at everything, including how shitty we treat our wage slaves.

Want to see some anonymous reviews from the animation staff about Spindlehorse? Here is a link to the tweet. (a)

One thing all of these reviews share in common is that they mention one of two things. The pay is low for industry standards, and disorganisation is present. The $60 per second rate is true and so likely the $35 rate. And favoritism is present, as some get paid around $1000 A WEEK. They also confirm that the higher-ups are all friends. And that any lower-ranking staff get fired. They always need new animators for a reason. "THEY ALSO SPREAD LIES ABOUT FIRED STAFF AND MAKE UP HORRID RUMOURS ABOUT THEM.", and finally, Spindlehorse artists are not paid for revisions.

Found this 18 hours ago, and some are suggesting "Ken's experience" (a) however, it was last seen 8 months ago, so likely not recent.

However, Viviziepop is getting cancelled with over 40K+ tweets about it & being trending on Twitter. Here are some tweets:

I guess the animated studio that brought us a hotel in hell really was a workplace hell. Who could have seen this coming?

Viv has always been a lolcow.
She has been known for years to be a loud, brash, and arrogant backstabber.

Again, I know I repeat it, but she fired almost all of the staff involved with the pilot, with little to no communication or prior notice, and decided to throw money that she would not pay her own staff at Broadway actors to secure some awards.

This staff consisted mainly of her friends.
Didn't she also try to dox the Five Nights at Freddie's guy's pregnant wife?

The pilot was hyped up and released in 2019 and it also has a spinoff (yes the spinoff came before the actual show) that's been going on since 2020 and is on its second season.

Assuming they'res actual similarities between the two shows as far as who's behind the show(s) in terms of writing or animation, I wonder how bad the absolute gutting of staff involved in them will affect them, (Especially if it turns out that this leads to Vivzie herself gets removed from her projects), since Helluva not only has made it longer in terms of episodes and established characters that just about any aspect of it will take a substantial hit the moment any episodes prior to the firings will become immediately apparent, wither the writing stars showing signs of someone else writing it or the animation suddenly gets worse or gets changed in some aspect.

Iirc Hazbin and Helluva supposedly have very little overlap as far as staff.

There are two problems with it in Helluva Boss. The first is that it's slowly taken over the show. Instead of just being a side-arc it's started to become the main focus. The show is supposed to be about demons who travel to Earth to kill people on behalf of condemned sinners in Hell, and that barely even happens in the show anymore. The show feels like you're watching AO3 fanfiction of itself.

Secondly, as a relationship it's not even well-written. Stolas is a married man with a teenage daughter having an affair with a work colleague, but we're supposed to root for Stolas almost unconditionally. They try to do this by making Stella as unlikeable as possible, because obviously if his wife is a bitch then she deserves to get cheated on. As for how this makes his teenage daughter feel, the show tries to address this by... having another character essentially just tell her to be happy for her father. Yeah, great, guess we don't need to ask any more questions there.

Also, the way the relationship is portrayed in the pilot is absurdly questionable. He basically coerces Blitzo into it, only giving him access to the grimoire he needs to travel to Earth on the condition he sleeps with him. The show then has to (unconvincingly) retcon this by revealing Blitzo totally had feelings for him all along! Which isn't obvious at all just from the first couple of episodes. It all comes across as very creatively half-baked.
