He finally got to post bail and he knew that the Ukranians didn't have his best interest at heart since he was beaten last time in prison by a bunch of prisoners that were payed to beat him up. He should've gotten out earlier but he was too retarded for that so what ever.
So what happens?

Well, after a lot of pressure from both the US and Chile he gets to post bail.
But none of the bail conditions are applied:

He doesn't get an ankle monitor.
He gets his passport back.
He gets access to his motorcycle.


The mistake he makes is that he thinks the Ukranians want him to get out.(And thus avoid problems).
What the Ukranians actually want is a way to avoid a protracted legal battle and they want an excuse to kill him.

They aren't allowed to keep him in prison any longer due to US/Chile pressure but once he breaks the bail conditions they can.
