I've seen people comment on her videos using 'he' and getting excoriated even though Lily doesn't remotely pretend to sound feminine and, speaking personally, when I first ran into Lily's videos I thought 'Lily Orchard' was just the name of the avatar being used and not the legal name of the creator. It wasn't until I scrolled down to the comments and saw people being harassed for not knowing Lily is trans that I realized she was, uh, trans. (Even then Lily hadn't said anything personally so I couldn't tell if it was the commentators making assumptions or what.)
It's the Tories' fault that you have to personally confirm a controlled substance.
I've worked in numerous pharmacies and I've personally heard from several different pharmacists stories about doctors who would fill out fake scripts for 'patients' that were just trying to get their hands on a controlled substance (one guy even had a newspaper clipping in his office about how he shut down one of these operations). I'm sure most people here have heard about this kind of thing happening. For legal reasons you HAVE to appear in person every three to six months to confirm that you are not only a real person, but that you still need to script.
And this isn't accounting for the impact that these drugs have on the body. I recall that Lily bitched about how she needed blood tests to renew her hormones, like it was just those mean politicians who hate trans people and don't want her to have access to hormones and not because, you know, pumping yourself full of cross-sex hormones will
fuck you up mentally, emotionally, and physically if you aren't careful about the dosage.
There's something so wild to me about Lily bitching that she can't just get all of this done through a telehealth service. Seems to me that if you're really concerned about your medications and your health you'd be able to carve one day out of every few months to take care of it. Being lazy isn't a medical exemption.
