Proper literally used his YT streams to promote Kiwifarms.
Not just the DSP board, but the whole site.
There are multiple people who didn't know that the site was back on clearnet until guys like Proper and other YT/Twitter guys said so.

You really should think about what kind of fairy tale you are spinning with your story.
Take a breath and really think about what is more easier and likely:
Getting people from YT and Twitter to your site or getting people from a subforum of your site to their YT/Twitter channels for engagement purposes.

I've always enjoyed your posts so please don't take this as antagonistic, but one of the common faggots on the side of interacting with Dave and part of the gay ops group that helped bring Wings trolls over, have a discord, helped manage another newer one... they're from a spurned lover knockoff kiwifarms that has more than a handful of obsessive people who think they're in enemy lines larping. The person plays here on the farms like they're a woman, and has been posting for a couple years just fine. When things like this kick up they're always curiously part of the shit flinging although never visible in the thread. There was a DSP troll discord, talk of making their own space. Maybe no one will realize or believe these things unless someone doxes them and drops receipts.

To be fair, he did join under a different name, Proper Pangolin. You may remember name changes being an available thing here a couple of years ago.

So by the time he was moderating, he was going by his Streamer/content creator name. What was keeping him from keeping the two separate? Using different names, never discussing his YT presence, but still making content? Nothing. Connecting the two was an obvious issue. Likewise if he went by his creator name here but was just another poster. Although that would put him the same boat as the others, looking desperate and fucking stupid.

Clothes getting modded was strange, he was fine-ish on the surface but he was a new account. As I've said before as the changeover of mods slowly proceeded we had less and less present old mods, and more present lax new mods. They had different interests in the board, and this board is one that needs the most rigid of watch since DSP attracts the most autistic frothing at the mouth types. If you don't threadban people from time to time the temperature in the board changes, which it did. This is the main reason I avoided it so much for so long. Good older posters left. Driven away by the sad motivations of people who think Wings trolls are clever, entertaining and "doing it right" when DSP "gets off easy". The damage to the subforum is done, it would take time to rebuild but there is no undoing it. It takes time to convince people that these motivations are stupid or just ban them from the subforum so they can interact with other cow threads to understand better. Never forget what was told to the SoK, diversify your lolcow holdings or you will self-implode because of the autistic fury over someone so benign.

Here's the problem. Someone who's new, and a bad fit for the mod team was modding other, new people. There's no runway/track with which to see how they'll go. You'll notice most older members have a semblance of not being everyone's friend or fighting for positive sticker handjobs. Having a new person do this means they haven't even uptaken the culture or bumbled into the understanding of what is or is not correct. Even worse if they're a people pleaser like Proper is. He's not a bad guy, just not a good fit for mod. Closet was an ok person also but again new people are going to more often than not assist the retards that shit up the thread and subforum, not properly demotivate or clear them out. This is what happened, unfortunately. Perhaps if there was a more active mod with more experience with this crowd leading the way, proper could have learned what was actually expected, and a better fit would have been picked to begin with both in Proper and Closet's case. This is also why forum owners have people they trust to do this, you have no clue who new posters are or what they are up to, what motivates them etc. When reading through everything I missed, people collected a shitton of posts of Proper advocating violence against DSP or his property, advocating that he get the Wings troll treatment, etc. He basically became fairly quickly everything we didn't want in the thread. Personally I feel bad for not stepping up ages ago but I have a family and career so it would just leave people frustrated in me as I would only be here in these weird hours when insomnia hits me.

I like Clothes but he only follows DSP and originally came from Wings. I think he does good autistic detective work on Phil but he takes this stuff too seriously.

I think Actually disappearing because of Keffals hurt the mod team as he was an older member but I wasn't here when there were older mods as Proper and Surly became mods the same year I made an account. Surly also disappeared which left only Proper for like a year to mod this forum.

I feel like this has been festering for years at this point. Like 6 or 7 years.
On one hand the DSP sub is sort of an insular community where there's not a lot of crossover between people who follow him and people who can't stand to follow his antics, so it would seem to make sense to Mod people who are active on the sub-forum because at least they'll know what's going on in here.
But in actuality that sucks because it's like being a volunteer hall monitor at a house party. People don't want to have to discipline and keep in line the people they are trying to chill out and laugh about a lolcow with.

Also none of the DSP sub mods actually want to be mods. They are all begrudgingly mods who stepped up to try to keep the wheels from falling off.
We had @neger psykolog who actually wanted to mod, and would do so until he. . .left.
Then we had @Haunter who was a well liked poster who was flattered that people liked him but didn't really want to do it. He then lost interest and moved on.
We had @actually who was a well liked poster who tracked Phil's income. He didn't really want to do it but figured it wouldn't take more effort than what he was already doing. He lost interest and moved on.
We had @Surly Muppet who was a well liked poster who made comprehensive and entertaining posts documenting Phil's antics. He stepped up to lighten the load after @actually, but he's always had long periods where he doesn't post.
Then I guess we had @Agent Proper who you can probably tell by his pfp that he's a pretty chill dude. He's been a longtime Phil watcher and sub-forum poster. I assume like @actually he figured modding the DSP board wouldn't take much more than what he was already doing to document Phil's antics. He's maybe a bit too chill and hands-off with his moderation style to keep the board in line though.
Finally we had @clothes in my closet who I don't really know as I stopped following Phil from like Sept. '22 to Sept. '23, but he seemed like he was trying to do. . .something at least, but didn't really know what was expected or needed of him.

I also remember Null saying in like as far back as 2018 I feel like that no one on the DSP board ever reports a post ever.
It becomes a situation where all the board users are assuming mods will take care of anything, and the mods don't ever have a report to clear so they fall back into their role as forum users until a situation is blowing up. It probably also doesn't help that people on the sub-forum are told repeatedly that they are hated and reviled by the rest of the board creating a situation where people in the sub-forum try to draw as little attention to it as possible with many apparently thinking it's inappropriate for them to ever report a post.
So we end up with the frustrating situation for Null where he has to find out a day or two late that private information about Phil that is illegal for his website to host has been posted again and up the whole time.

It sounds like Null is getting someone he knows will mod the board to keep it in line, and I think that can really help, but we also need to do a better job of reporting things we think are out of line so it doesn't all fall to one person.

The Comcast situation was weird because we had Phil first publishing screenshots of his router settings on Twitter, so that becomes public information. Then we have @dangreene come in and post similar screenshots of Phil's router settings so when he goes on to post other things it doesn't immediately occur to me that that is Phil's private Comcast account information that is illegal to host here. Also while he was posting this mods were trying to get him to confirm his identity since he was claiming to be a real person involved with the lolcow, but he refused to interact with mods. I can see how it was fumbled, but it's still the 3rd time Phil's private information has been posted here.
Hopefully the new account ban will help mitigate these things, but also if even a single one of us had reported the post it would have taken care of it.

I hope the new mod will work with everyone who frequents the sub-forum to try to report posts more appropriately.

Anyway, I'm rambling again.

It's always a massive red flag when someone has doxed more children than child predators, but when they're appearing to facilitate the victimization of these minors it absolutely raises deeper questions. Is he simply so small-minded that all he sees is an opportunity to get an own over a lolcow and seizes it regardless of all other considerations? Does he get off on the implication that his doxing of these children is opening them up to real world harm? It's all nasty.

Regardless of the reason, it's worse than anything Phil has done. Phil has never encouraged child predators to prey upon specific children by directing them to "half-naked" images of them. That moderator whom he is praising was the one who would threaten to ban you for "shitting up the forums" if you raised concerns about this creepy children doxing shit. Good riddance.
