Maybe but probably unlikely. RuAF is a very prestigious job in the Russian military and a traitor would probably try and defect rather than blow up a jet.
The treason I was think of was more along the lines of sending the aircraft's flight plans and flight data to ukrop agents before the aircraft took off.
That way the ukrops could set up an ambush zone, which is how I believe this AWACS plane was downed.

There is no glory or honor to be found in dying in a trench, utterly abandoned by your own country, your life discarded for no real reason other than the petty, selfish whims of a ruling class in Kiev that despises you, by the guns of a people that wish this whole tragedy wasn't necessary. I think they've had almost as many women flee Ukraine as they've had men die. It's not this big, untapped pool of (wo)manpower that is going to sway the tides. Even at the beginning of the war, women from Western Ukraine were fucking off to the EU and US for a better life as a sex worker.

This war has been doing its best to convince me that using large mercenary forces could again be a good option for anybody who is rich enough and has any intention of getting into large infantry engagements. More than ever, wanting to be there is the biggest factor of all in performance.
