Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Imagine using what one would imagine to be a fundamental right of a nation: border control, as a bargaining chip for foreign aid for a nation some thousands of miles away that do not have any discernable benefit to your nation.
If border control is not important in America, why do they bother keeping ukraine border intact?

Not exactly sure as to the date of the footage, but ukrops are now welding tank hatches shut.
That's beyond fucked up.

It just shows how desperate they are. Their entire pre-war military is either KIA or POW, their navy doesn't exist anymore, and their air force is impotent in the face of Russian AD.

Anywhere, here's a nice tribute to Givi I archived from Pro-Russian twitter earlier in the conflict.
If only I were a few years older in 2014/2015 I would have gone and joined his unit, the Somalia Battalion, or his friend Motorola's Sparta Battalion. Both of them are now gone, but their hopes and dreams live on.

Didn't they get folded into the Russian Army?

Didn't they get folded into the Russian Army?
They did, after Putin finally got off his throne and decided to do something about the situation.
However, they still get the dredges in terms of equipment and they're always thrown first into the meat grinder because Putin doesn't want Russian boys getting killed and their grieving moms screaming in front of the Kremlin.
I recall an incident where the Luhansk units refused to advance beyond the borders of the Luhansk Oblast after it was fully conquered by Russia.

That is actually a bit reassuring, as it demonstrates that the NATO hysteria of Russia doing a major invasion of the continent is clearly overblown.

If the soldiers are hesitant to go past the borders of their country, that demonstrates that leadership is imposing a mentality of protecting the motherland and not one of conquest. Once Russia gains enough land that Ukraine stops bombing cities in Russian held territory, it'll be very difficult to persuade the soldiers to fight any further.

It was in the summer of 2022.
Above is the article describing the incident.

Ukie women will save crimea from evil vatnik infrastructure and services so their men can dilate.

As an aside there sure are a lot more ads advertising Slavic dating to American men on YouTube now. Hmmm.
I assume the Russian Mob will lose influence in the West.

If the Feds are willing to buck break Larry Vickers over trying to import fully automatic Russian made rifles.

I assume every Russian mobster in the United States, is going to get black bagged for trying to send money back.

And probably best time for the Ukrainian Mob to move in.

I would have gone and joined his unit, the Somalia Battalion, or his friend Motorola's Sparta Battalion. Both of them are now gone, but their hopes and dreams live on.
Did they ever dream that Russia itself would intervene directly?

Conscripts shooting officers and themselves.

A mobilized Ukrainian shot at the company commander and shot himself - says former deputy Mosiychuk. Local media reports that there was a conflict between an ordinary soldier and the deputy commander of the company for moral and psychological support.

During the altercation, the conscript grabbed an AK-74 and shot his opponent six times before blowing his brains out. They write that the problem is "lack of rotation and rest." Coincidentally, the new version of the mobilization law emphasizes that. Probably this is not the only case.

It was inevitable; of course they knew.

Russia was already giving permission for volunteers in their Armed Force to go and fight; Igor Strelkov comes to mind.
They were also quietly transferring some old gear to the Donbass units.
I'm guessing they hoped for more, but Putin was too cautious.
2014/2015 would have been a blitz, ukrops were completely unprepared, the west was still knee deep in the Middle East, and there was widespread support in Eastern Ukraine for the Russians.

Hmmm I always figured that was way too early because the west didn't quite decline to the extent it has yet and also russia needed 4 years to prepare themselves for the sanctions that would come.

Russia need time to hardened itself against the sanctions that would be imposed if they went in. They did a magnificent job and when they found out the Ukraine was going on an offensive to recoup Crimea in 2022, Russia was ready, and beat them to it.

The West is still crying how sanctions didn't have the impact they wanted and in fact, benefited and grew the Russian economy. That would not have been the case in 2014/15.
