For a majority of people, many of those channels make DSP bareable, and show DSP how to really operate a community. Some of those personalities are entertaining and they make entertaining videos. Clearly, there's a subset of their audience (and obviously some of the people here) that are retards, and grift harder with less talent than even Phil himself can. But as you can see, there might be 5 pages of complaining about doody and how fucking retarded he is, and what a filthy grifter, and nothing has changed.

Personally, since the dawn of the SOK, I've never given a shit whether or not anyone makes money off of DSP, and I won't be trying to convince anyone one way or the other. I have ad block so they get nothing from me. I don't donate to them. If someone feels like they want to, I don't care. I have the same opinion for giving money to Phil.

When some of those retards go at each other, it's very entertaining. It makes keeping up with DSP refreshing when you get some random spergs clout chasing or losing their minds trying to a-log. It's also good to keep a record of those events so new people here can learn from the past and what looking into the abyss can do to you.

Not that anyone asked me, but in my view the appeal of Phil is that he's got so many plates spinning to maintain the shared delusion of "DSPGaming", and he's always just on the verge of dropping a plate and letting Real Phil peek out from behind the mask. It's a tightrope act you just can't peel your eyes from.
But I do see how that can come off as vigilantism, because Real Phil is such a comically terrible person. It's a fine line between hunting for Real Phil because it's funny, and because you're a pearl-clutching moralfag who just hates the evils of gambling or whatever.

It's really subjective to justify why Phill's laziness and boring streamas are entertaining. It's like trying to explain to a normal person why watching a bad movie like 'The Room' is fun.

Phill is also an 'episodic' character. You can stop following him, and after four years, catch a random detractor video, and he will still be bad at video games, making excuses and insulting game developers for his own shortcomings. He tells a dumb and uninteresting story for 20 minutes and calls it a 'show,' begging for money after talking about how successful and happy he is, and pleading for help or interaction from his chat. There's no need to watch him religiously to stay in the loop.

So for a new mod, from the posters I've read pretty continuously since I started paying attention to Phil once CWC went to jail for that dna trail to his mom's clothes, I wonder what the regular posters in the subforum would think of the following potentials if they were interested, in order of join dates to the best of my recollections?

Kosher Dill;
Prince Lotor;
BSV (Vidar may be disqualified as being a former financial avowed whale to Phil Burnell?);
We Are The Witches (I am not an astute enough follower of Phil for long enough a time yet to know if this is another disqualified for the very same reason as above would be potentially too?)

Best mod since I started reading as far as I know was probably Actually who would be like an estimated 9 out of 10 scale in terms of lore mastery on the subject and like a 10/10 estimated on the autism wrangling duties vector. There's plenty of other good candidates I'm certain I can't recall at this time, other than these also, so I may need to edit/post more later, but don't want to swell this thread needlessly when Khet's feeder results are being trotted out so often to help Mike try and cum for his pig parade movie, so we'll see.

HAHA I do remember the Niggermoment he had when he violently attacked someone in his workplace and got fired. That is not something a pussy like DSP would do, he just talk reckless or whatever.

I'm sure he's a great dude but I'd really like someone who's active in a few different places, so they can act as advocate for both the DSP board outside of it and the rest of the site inside of it.

I hold the opinion that if you're giving yourself braindamage watching Phil all day and clipping it to a bearable state for everyone else to enjoy, then you deserve to make money.

But, I'm still not turning off that pesky adblock and still not donating to an online personality.

Ironically, as I recall someone wanted to feature Khat in the happenings/beauty parlor and tried to get your attention, which unleashed this whole shitstorm.

Can we get the general thread pinned again now that it's re-established?

I also don't know how anybody watches DSP without TIHYDP or montages, but I wouldn't call any of them 'personalities'. DSP chased off most of the montage makers when he (or a fan of his) began copywrite striking them all. The death of TIHYDP killed off even more of Phil's ability to reach outside his dwindling sphere of followers.

The only leech orbiter I'm aware of is Doody but everyone AFAIK realizes he is literally retarded and has stupid opinions.

Phil doesn't really interact much with anything outside his bubble, besides things like Keemstar bullying him a bit before getting bored or the sidescrollers podcast staging a failed intervention.

Half the appeal is watching this weird internet hermit descend further into self imposed exile madness.

i am not tripping over my dick for the job, and the majority of my posts are in this subforum, but I do check out pretty much any of the TGWTG thread guys, the oneyplays and super best friends threads in gaming, I like the Trannies Posting L's threads, and I used to follow a few other cows, like the New Guy tranny and Shrimpy before their threads kinda died.

just wanted to say I do actually venture out from this place.
