I think this might be it. This might be the one drama shitshow to actually give me brain damage. I'm still struggling to understand what's going on here despite having skimmed the thread twice, and that's really something.
I suppose he calls himself "Mama Max" because Daddy Max would've been a bit too counterintuitive? Lol.
A relatively short summary that I can muster right now, because I also haven’t seen many break it down effectively. Might as well throw my hat in the ring:
MamaMax is a YouTuber who dedicates his platform to catching pedophiles on the interwebs. Many of his highly-stylized videos center around exposing hidden communities of kid diddlers in different corners of the internet. His videos gain a lot of traction and get the attention of other much larger YouTubers (Critikal, Mutahar, Nexpo) who subsequently co-sign his work.
Some time ago, MamaMax begins to investigate a “vampire sex cult” which has allegedly victimized “hundreds, upon hundreds… of minors” after a close family friend let’s Max know of her experience with the alleged “leader” of said “cult”, who is named Camdan Gerard Davis. MamaMax released a video exposing his name and face, accusing him of being an abusive pedophile cult-leader whilst having no concrete evidence for his accusations besides hearsay. He also calls on bigger Internet personalities to join his autistic crusade (including Anthony Fantano of NeedleDrop fame who he calls on to review his friend’s track he used in the pedophile expose video lol). No one pays attention because of course.
Some time passes and he decides to release a Critikal expose video, which actually turns out to be a callout to Charlie and a bunch of other content creators for not joining his crusade, even though, again, there is no concrete evidence for anything he alleges. Various content creators start to notice how unhinged this guy is acting after the video makes the rounds. People start to look into the videos he’s released regarding the “vampire sex cult” and notice how many holes are present in the story. There is a call with MamaMax and another YouTuber named Lerix who raises legitimate criticisms against his behavior, which he is kicked off the call twice for asking. Mutahar of SomeOrdinaryGamers calls in and basically let’s him know he’s going about everything the wrong way, to which MamaMax begrudgingly agrees. MamaMax continues to act irresponsibly, and continues to get blasted by the commentary community.
MamaMax releases an apology video where he doesn’t truly apologize and just whines about not being taken seriously. There is a call between Mutahar, MamaMax and NicholasDeOrio that ends in screaming by the pedophile hunter himself, who truly cannot understand why no one will take him seriously when he’s got no evidence and is now sperging out on a daily basis. Following the call, Mutahar and NicholasDeOrio each release their own video on MamaMax which exposed the following:
- MamaMax admits to not having a single arrest in span of his 5-year career (which he’s lied about).
- He admits to faking the situations of child abuse in all of the videos he’s released, believing people would assume they’re fake without any indicator.
- Accusing those who disagree with him of being pedophile/pedophile apologists.
- Not even he has reviewed all the evidence that he’s “collected” for the vampire sex cult case.
There’s so much more that’s happened in the span of a couple weeks, it’s insane. Someone else will probably do a much better job of summarizing everything that’s happened with this absolute retard when the dust has settled.
