I have NEVER seen a youtuber this big drop off this hard. When he told his audience to fuck off they literally did. Going from 4~ mil per video to 300k per video is a reduction of more than 90%. Dude LITERALLY lost an entire order of magnitude of viewers, that is fucking wild. Late, but regarding parasocial relationships, it's clear Anisa's bought into the social justice adage that the willingness to participate in harsh criticism is indicative of an unhealthy mindset. I think it's less that she believes she deserves fame and success and more than she feels entitled to take advantage of other's superficiality - if I say and do X people will automatically do Y without thinking. If I sympathy bait, people are obligated to give me sympathy and anyone who does the opposite is thinking about me too much. This is what she seems to mean by 'parasocial' - taking the time to actually put two and two together and criticize her behavior is unhealthy and weird, whereas going through the motions and giving her asspats without being suspicious or cynical is how normal, well adjusted people behave. The retardation of describing Null's remark (whatever provoked it) as parasocial was because it objectively wasn't - he was summarizing frequently articulated views on her public persona, views that directly prompted her to start the world's most boring podcast to address.

I think the main reason so many lolcows respond so badly to criticism and equate being mocked with harassment and bullying even if they're irrelevant in every other sense is they've been taught at some point that people who do so can only ever motivated by personal animus. They assume it's personal because going out of your way to harm somebody's ego must require purposeful malice, thus the very act of pointed criticism becomes a vested personal attack. The end result is what we see of Anisa now - in pursuit of the perfect hugbox free from 'unhealthy, obsessed' people, she's ended up with a dwindling audience that is willing to give her the platitudes and likes she wants on demand only because they have no real interest in her.

Imagine your wife dissing the work that was one of the building blocks in your brand. The only reason he's staying with Anisa is because she has convinced him that she can't find anyone better. I feel like either Ian is going to kill himself or transition at this point.

I think, honestly, she's just trying to create a false equivalency without really thinking. If I had to guess, what she's probably referring to were the earliest episodes of Bad Unboxing, which were kind of bare bones compared to later, and also probably the only videos of that series she's actually watched - given her narcissism, her well known resentment of being tied to his popularity and how skewed her recollection of his 'problematic' content has been, I wouldn't be surprised if she's actually unfamiliar with most of her husband's body of work.
