I've bitten the bullet and looked up what irony poisoning is (Wikipedia, so take it with a grain of salt). It's the idea that people get radicalised through telling jokes that were initially ironic. So I don't think he's even using the term correctly. He was arguing that most people thought Cart Narc was joking, when he's actually serious. Irony poisoning would be if people who initially thought Cart Narc was funny or joking would then go on to seriously support him in his crusade, but he didn't say that, so, he's just spewing more LA buzzwords to be cool with his grease mullet crowd.

Something I wanted to point out in my other post but didn't because I thought the post was long enough, is that in the part where Ian is talking about the people who sperg at Cart Narc being disabled, you can tell that he's very obviously reading from a script. His tone sounds very bored and flat, like the same tone you use when you're in front of the class doing a PowerPoint presentation. You can even see him blatantly turn to the side.

I haven't watched a video of his to completion since the apology vid, so maybe he just phones in reading scripts now, but I can't help but think that maybe someone else *cough* wrote that part and he's forcing himself to read it? Hmm.

As a professional MMA sperg myself, here's the reasons why

• It's difficult (not just twitter liberals) to get people to enjoy the sport of boxing/beating the shit out of people
• Anisa and Ian picked literalwhos as boxers, even the terminally online had no idea who half the people were
• The fans bought tickets to see Ian/most popular creators, not for boxing. I know it's YouTubers fighting each other, but they came for the people not the sport
• I personally don't like Boxing because I tend to find it more boring and corrupt than say UFC/Bellator/PFL
• As popular as UFC is, you don't typically find MMA fans often unless you go to a gym
• I've sperged about Creator Clash many, many times beforehand and especially the event itself but Anisa acting like she threw a Showtime PPV event is insane
