In an age of these new-fangled uppercase "I" Internet cows, it's easy to lose sight of the good old days. The days when man would create his own conspiracies untethered from the Culture War. When he would publish books and drive schizo-vans plastered in his unfiltered ideas. When he'd harass the conspirators in real life. The good old days are long gone, but some relics of a more civilized time still remain.
Introducing Steve Lightfoot, one such relic.

A 70 year old resident of Monterey, California, Steve Lightfoot (not to be confused with the director) recalls his early life for us below.

Apparently his break up with his girlfriend left such a profound mark on his life that it opened his eyes to the world. Whether this led him to his paranoia or simply was the last straw on an already strained psyche is anyone's guess, but he'd develop his conspiracy theory that John Lennon was killed by Stephen King in 1982.

Shortly after this he'd write his 24 page booklet dedicated to spreading the truth. As you can see below, he was definitely on kilter when writing this.

The gist of the conspiracy is that John Lennon was anti-war and against the establishment of Nixon's and Reagan's governments. So, the presidents used codes to deliver messages to Stephen King that contained instructions to kill Lennon, after which Stephen King would take Lennon's place as America's hero in order to turn American society into one made up of dumb, unthinking sheeple. The effects of this are apparently so widespread that Stephen King is basically responsible for everything wrong in the world and only him being brought to justice can fix America.

Months after compiling all of this truth and sending it to as many magazines, editorials, and other media outlets as he could, our poor guy would be threatened by those dirty glow in the darks. His one account of a specific encounter in 1985 is pretty scary and definitely true. This encounter was a major turning point in Steve's Life. In his own words, "...my life turned into a political dissident hell".

This harassment would continue for the rest of his life. Here are accounts of Stephen King and Yoko Ono trying to take him out of the picture and taunting him.

In the meantime, he'd drive around America in his famous schizo-vans with the aim to spread the truth to the unenlightened masses.
Speaking of which, dates are unclear on when exactly he'd start driving his schizo-vans cross country, but they have gone through many iterations and there have been claims that he has been driving them across the country for four decades. Below is a video from 1997 recording one of the earlier iterations of the van. It's also one of my favorite videos of him and encapsulates everything I like about Steve. He really is nostalgic.
Despite the federal agents and the weak-willed public, Steve Lightfoot remains an American hero dedicated to the cause of bringing Stephen King down. I wish him the best of luck.

Now, for his internet presence. As far as I can find, this is the earliest video exposure of Steve on the Internet. Here he explains how Reagan ordered Stephen King to kill Lennon and all of the evidence backing it up. Unfortunately it abruptly cuts off during his speech.
Another great and very recent video on our last American hero is this quick introduction to Steve Lightfoot done by a small channel under the name "Lousy Larry". It cover his early life and goes on to tell his story in a succinct 15 minutes. I highly recommend watching it.
However, as you saw from the previous images, his most prominent presence online is his website lennonmurdertruth.com

This website not only gives a rundown of his booklet and a place to purchase it, but it also gives updates on his life and thoughts about current events in the "Footnotes and New Developments" section.
I'd just like to say that it is almost impossible for me to make a compilation of his finest posts on his site. Every single sentence drips with the kind of madness that reminds me of Francis E. Dec Esq. I hope that others can enjoy just reading through it in bewilderment like I do. Happy travels through the strange mind of one of the few OG schizos left.
