Deluxe edition Rhea & Bianca are the coverstars

The collectors edition is ai generated bullshit collage.

We're never getting as good as Here Comes The Pain are we? Fucking depressing.

Has an ambulance match ever actually been in a wrestling game?

The uh..whole thing is pretend buddy
Think of it like Star Wars. Everyone knows Star Wars. Star Wars is 100% fake, but Vader still needs to smash a bunch of guys at the beginning of a New Hope to be a good bad guy. If he shows too much weakness early on, he is less intimidating and it affects the story, thus Luke Skywalker isn't a strong hero for outgunning him and blowing up the Death Star because we've seen the Vader is weak. This is basic narrative structure.

Smarks like to think wrestling is different or special, but it's not. Everyone subconsciously craves a narrative arc where the hero is special and is the only one that overcomes a powerful bad guy nobody else can. That bad guy could be a physically powerful heel like the monster heels Hogan fought in the 80s, he could be powerful because he has a gang helping him fuck people up like the Four Horsemen or the nWo, or he could be powerful because of money/political power like Vince McMahon in the 90s. The more powerful your heel looks, the more compelling the narrative, the more over the face gets when he overcomes the odds and beats the heel.

I think it was fine for Hook to wrestle Joe and put up a bit of a fight, but I firmly believe the match showed them being too evenly matched and Hook should have been dead after the first muscle buster. That kickout at one had a negative effect on Joe's credibility. Joe should have went from the muscle buster into the choke, he wins with the three arm drops, but Joe doesn't let go after the bell because he is pissed that Hook had the gall to try and put up a fight. Adam Page comes out for the save and Joe bails. They try to stretcher Hook out after a couple of minutes, but he pushes them away and manages to get out under his own power so he gets over too.

Instead they booked it so it looks like this random dude who looks like a small child had a shot at taking the title off the new heel champion. Imagine if that random guy Vader chokes and kills at the beginning of A New Hope gets in a fist fight with Vader and Vader just barely manages to beat him. Is Vader the same character after that?
