(forewarning.. this a is a long pointless comment mostly about Gabe who is only tangentially related to Yahtzee.. I was typing so much I didn't even realize how long this comment turned out. I almost didn't post it, but I feel I've now passed the point of no return)......................

I've experienced a 180 degree turn in opinion on both Yahtzee and Gabe over the past decade or so. Followed them since Show&Tell podcast until the end of Drown Out, and followed KeepetClassy pretty soon after they started to ramp up content on the channel. I currently no longer follow any of them.
I used to look up to Gabe in the early to mid/late 2010's.. he seemed to have a rough hand dealt to him, grew up in housing commission, had various stints with hard drugs and had a serious alcohol problems at one point in his life, which he claims he kicked cold turkey. Dealt with a lot of mental shit too like anxiety/depression and suicide and self harm (he admits to having scars all over his upper torso which he inflicted with a steak knife). It sounded like he was pulling himself out of the cycle and was going to university to become a teacher. He used to be relentlessly mocked by Yahtzee who would call him a useless cunt who would never amount to anything, whenever the subject of him becoming a teacher came up in their Drown Out podcast series.
Sure, people would say it was just friendly ribbing and Yahtzee would say the same when he got flak for it in by viewers in the comments, but I think there was some genuine malice behind Yahtzee's comments (and in some cases, outright diatribes) when the topic of Gabe's future would come up. I even thought Yahtzee would take it too far sometimes, as it seemed Gabe was making a genuine effort to turn his life around and Yahtzee was taking swings at him for no good reason. I can't imagine how Yahtzee would feel about Gabe today.. probably vindicated. Everything Yahtzee said about Gabe has turned out to be 100% correct, Gabe really is a useless cunt and a massive hypocrite. Everything he said he stood for, like saying that he would "rather have a horrific skin disease than be internet famous" has turned out to be complete bullshit. Every time that he would whine at Yahtzee that he was in education to become a teacher has also, turned out to be complete bullshit. Now he relies on his income with his tranny friend (and FFS, don't even get me started on Aaron) and once accepted a $100 donation on a Twitch stream to pash him (I think it was also because Gabe wanted to prove how "not gay" he is). He is now an almost 40 year old man who holds pathetic live streams of shitty DOS games to an audience of less than 20 people when he is live, and treats fans like shit for not donating enough to the KeC patreon, because he believes his existence should come for free. When the amount of live videos you have produced for your "career" has outnumbered the number of people who actively view them live, you need to start asking yourself some serious life questions.
He claims how poor he is, how he lives like a monk, Aaron and Gabe have begged multiple times for financial help (Aaron has been particularly worse of the two, even appealing in their discord channel for donations to pay bills). Then Gabe shows up on stream one day with a with a fucking massage theragun (which costs about $600USD). He gets called out on it, then has a cry that he is disabled and stopped pursuing his teaching career because he has a sore shoulder. I don't know how any remaining KeC fans could believe anything Gabe says... this is the same Gabe who said he would do sets of whacking himself in the head with a full sized bowling pin, to train his body and mind to take hits in a fight. You are not fucking disabled Gabe, you are just a massively useless cunt who doesn't want to work, exactly as Yahtzee predicted.
He then mentioned almost spending $1000 on a ego cancelling monk helmet:
He didn't because his head was too fat for the basket. The absolute fucking gall of this, is that I'm fully convinced Gabe is scamming his welfare payments, which he then uses to spend on completely trivial shit.. all the while having a big whinge about how he is forced to live this minimalist existence, then without even flinching, flaunts his stupid expenses like a several hundred dollar massage gun, stupid Transformer toys and emulation machines like a GPD Win 2 (valued over $1000 at the time). My theory is that he was only going to university to get welfare payments for Ausstudy/Centrelink (Australian government welfare), hence why he changed degrees so many times (he did semesters in Journalism and some other shitty arts related degrees.. history I think, before he finally settled on teaching). As Yahtzee once put it "Forever in education do nothing cunt". Another alarm bell on Gabe.. I remember Yahtzee at one point contemplated opening a patreon for the Drown Out podcast (which I would guess would have been very successful, given their viewer numbers and how passionate fans were for the series) to which Gabe responded "naah, it will interfere with my Centrelink payments". I'm convinced Aaron is now only studying some "will go absolutely nowhere" diploma for the same reason. I almost want to bet they don't disclose/hide the income they get from KeC from the government. It seems scum seems to stick to their kind.. Aaron has claimed multiple times that he also, is too disabled to have a job because of his spine problems. To be fair, I think Aaron probably does have spine problems, but what seals it for me is that out of all the doctors he has tried to get to medically write him off as a disabled welfare case, (which is a requirement to start receiving disability support payments), no doctor he has seen to date will sign off on it. Which makes me think Aaron is absolutely full of shit as well. If you can spend 2000hrs+ game time in Destiny 2, you can hold a low effort desk job and work for a living, like every one else has to.
One last thing on Gabe, I'm almost convinced the dude is a fucking pedo. It seems almost at any opportunity he gets, he wants to talk about the subject of paedophilia or paedophiles.. It used to be funny in the early days, like when Gabe described the weird Hentai books he encountered in Japan. But after a decade it seems the dude just obsessively wants to discuss the topic whenever he can bring it up.. I remember he even went so far to try corrupt KeC subscribers Youtube recommendations algorithms, by flooding the suggestions video links to these really fucking creepy Russian videos starring children on the side of their KeC videos (on the sidebar, I don't know if it is a YT feature anymore but it must have been at some point that uploaders could put videos in the "suggested" tab at the side). I didn't click on any of them, but just from the thumbnails I could tell it was some real creeper shit.. like actual pedos would watch these videos and get off. How did Gabe even know about these videos.. he would have had to have actively searched all of them out to make this "prank". He says it's ok to be obsessed and joke about the subject because he is totally not a pedo, but I feel like he is saying it through gritted teeth. The same way he constantly says how not gay he is, and he could prove it by "sucking off another man while while I make eye contact with them". Yeah ok.. sure Gabe, just like how you said people who do YT for a living are less than the scum on your toilet bowl and you would never commit to that path (which is now your "career") and that you will be the most useful person in society as you are going to be a teacher in reform schools....
Anyway, as I said at the start, I used to look up to Gabe as an example as someone who was pulling themselves out of the shitty hand they were dealt in life and turning it all around. Over time, I feel I've pieced the truth together in my head.. it truly is sad and pathetic how it all turned out, just another apple that didn't fall far from the tree.
