If Gamefreak/Pokemon Company legally pursues anything with Palworld, I'm officially done with Pokemon.
And I am a massive, dick sucking consumer. It's embarrassing.
Depending on what's coming out I spend probably around 500-1100 dollars a year on cards/merch. It's bad.
I don't do Funko shit though, ok.
Pokemon is THE thing I'm a CONSOOMER of, and this whole experience with Palworld has been oddly cathartic. I've been unhappy with the games/direction for years.. but I'll always find new Pokemon that I still like in the mix of it, hyperfocus on it like a autist and get merch for it.
I've been doing this shit since the 90s. I seriously think their ad campaigns successfully brainwashed me as a kid. Having fun with a competing IP and playing around with lookalikes of the Pokemon I care about has been kick ass, I'm ready for change.
I sincerely hope other Poke-dick-suckers will do the same if that happens.
You know what, fuck it-- even if they don't pursue, I'm toning down the Pokemon.
