Her personality didn't really show itself until after Jon left.
If you weren't a Josiecel at the time you didn't have much reason to be enthused, since things hadn't ramped up very much aside from Simmons being kicked.
The only reason I stayed on was because I thought Vance had potential.

On Fatty basically being confirmed for season 3 and likely Frank... I'm just so tired of them leaning on that. I sincerely hate Fatty's schtick and his constant demand for attention and coddling. Then there's his nudity... Why would I want to put up with that? They rely heavily on "content" that I actively avoided for both seasons.

I think the main issue with Fatty is Jet keeps allowing him to overstay his welcome. Chris undeniably creates chaos and drama in the house which is perfect for the show but his fits and manchildness wears out his welcome fast. He needs to have a set limit on how many days he can be on the show.

TJ is not Josie at all aside from stimming. Leave TJ alone in a room and he will quite literally do nothing without prompt by TTS. Leave Josie alone in a room and she will get bored and start doing something and talking about whatever has been happening. Josie never needed to be told to do something in general, she had to be told to start shit with others and Jet tried to force it by blaming a Letty mess on Sylvia.

I know a lot of people here didn't like Josie in S1 but she was talkative on her own and bounced off of TTS day and night, even plotting at times or straight up asking for information to help her get an edge. She explained her deliberate choice to avoid beefs because there was no gain from playing into forced controversy and she was right, sure it may be entertaining for some people but as a contestant it didn't help you win, it just drug you down. For a good example, formal beefs in season 2 honestly had no real impact on the outcome of the show, so tryharding them when the doghouse was a pretty chill place to end up was stupid.

My issue was never with Josie herself but her fanbase. I do like Josie as a person. Josie clearly was incredibly strong as a shy girl to have made it through 41 days of torture like she did. She never complained or whined about the shit he put up with. It was just how much attention and special treatment she got for simply being the cute one I had an issue with. Season 1 without Josie would not be season 1. She could not be replaced. The final showdown would not have worked with Letty and Vance or anyone else. The Willy Wonka bit would not have worked.

I think the worst part about this season is just how much potential it had only for it to fall short. It's like glimpsing into the gates of heaven only to be cast into the depths of hell. Every opportunity the show had to recover it just fell deeper and deeper into the pits of nontent.

Season one had its content plunges, but it was mostly consistent in progression and recovery. Something about season two starting off very strong then struggling to recover back to its starting kino levels is really sad. There was never any major "what could have been" moment from season one. Season two will forever be haunted by those types of hypotheticals though. There's so many slip ups that could have been avoided, and if they would have been avoided the show would have been so much better off content wise.

It renders one speechless just to imagine how many fuck ups there were this season in regards to how the cast was handled. So many rehashes with freeloaders and challenges. A heavy overreliance on freeloaders towards the latter part of the season, to the point where we were treating Greg like the new main character when he wasn't even a fish. Production was handed a content driver on four clear separate occasions and they dropped the ball with every single one.

I can understand Summers elimination. But the handling of JC, Cole, and Jimmy and their content potential was baffling. Tayleigh was starting to grow towards the end of the show as well, but instead of rewarding the content generation coming from her she was seemingly intentionally dogpiled by production, which would make them 5/5. I don't even like Tay, but to see her forced out of the spotlight because TJ was chosen to be a main character by production is painful to see.

I worry that season 3 will either not get as great of a cast as season 2, or if it does get as great of a cast the wiggers will somehow drop the ball again. Production needs to learn to let things breath and be more hands off. Nudge the fish, don't shove them.

Overall, season two was like getting a free meal, then getting kicked in the dick so hard you vomit up said free meal. The highs were higher than season one's, but the lows were so low and long lasting that it just makes me depressed looking back at what could have been.

For season 3 I want Chris to speedrun his shtick for a week and then deny having done those things for the rest of the run. If anyone catches him doing his shtick then he gets sent to the basement and a Chris lookalike is sent in to keep up appearances until Chris comes back out.
