That is something I increasingly find I have in common with them.
Any talk of a peaceful divorce is pure rainbows imo. At a certain point it's better to just rip the band-aid off, I'd rather things just go back to the way they were but that will never happen. But the only way we'll ever see any semblance of life as it was again is if there is a significant reduction of people holding Marxist views that are incompatible with that lifestyle. Some of these people may be able to be saved from their brainwashing but we need to stop shying away from embracing what will likely be required to remove the tumor from the body and let America heal.
Unless you seek out alternatives or live in a conservative rural area, someone can go their entire life thoroughly immersed in leftist filth from the media you consume to the lessons at school to social media propaganda.

There is no alternative besides the destruction of the current system, just like Nazi Germany after the war. The entire archive of establishment crimes needs to be released to the world, prominent Democrats and RINOs need to be enjoying prison and subject to civil asset forfeiture after televised trials, and undoubtedly millions of people would be blacklisted from holding jobs in education, politics, or the media on account of being communists who worked to brainwash children and pervert society. And even after all that you'd still need a good 10-15 years to get the first generation raised in this new society to finish destroying the old, just like the boomers in Germany all hate their country because they were raised to hate their parents for being Nazis.

So how do you square the circle with Trump if you both believe he was a stupid monster and know his policies were if not good, then at least better than Biden? "I don't care about his policies I just don't like him." The dissonant mind literally recoils at thinking about it too deeply. I see this all the time with boomer friends and family members -- they will literally recoil from talking about his policies (which they know were good / at least better than Biden) and flip to "I just don't like him."
I don't get it. Can't the two coexist? You can like how a person runs something but dislike their personality outside of work.

Example: I love Marilyn Monroe as a person; I don't care for her acting.

God bless your kind soul, but that thinking is what will fuck you over. You can never have empathy/simpathy for a group that will never reciprocate. The reason the "right" is constantly eating shit is that they see the other side as misguided while the "left" sees you at best as a dinosaur that should die off without obstructing progress and at worst that should be eliminated now.
So what is the solution? What happens next if people who disagree can't walk away peacefully?

One thing which may favor a peaceful solution is the current state of geopolitics now vs the 1860s and the history of the US when it comes to mobility.

The world of 1860 was made up of about 25 or so nation-states and empires, and expansion was the ideal. Losing territory was considered horrible. Today there 195 countries which is up from 171 in 1980 and it keeps growing. The move is towards regions splitting off and becoming independent, which the US has often supported. To not do so in it's own case would be a break with policy.

While there would be people wanting to stay in their areas who would get stuck in an unfriendly country (a Northern Californian, a Houston Texan), many would move. Moving freely from state to state is common. It's happening now with the exodus from CA and to TX and FL. I look at a lot of my family history and see constant moving and migration around the US through the early 1800s til now. There are always examples of someone owning the same land for 150 years, but it's a lot more natural for people in the US to move around. It's also not like Isreal and Palestine where two groups claim the exact same land and neither wants to move due to ancient ties.

Again, not easy, but more possible than 160 years ago.

The division 160 years ago was no where near as bad as the current one. While most northerners were anti-slavery, they were not die hard abolitionists like a john brown. That war was about keeping the union together, not about freeing the slavers. No matter what the *experts* of today say.

The same questions that led to the Union refusing to allow the Confedirisah to leave would lead to the same thing happening

Namely, who controls the Mississippi River? Who controls the Ohio River? Toss in the Colorado River too now, and the interstate highway system. Who controls trade in general? The domestic American economy is one of free trade between states (although California keeps trying to fuck with that like the retards they are). There are far too many economic interests in keeping the Union intact

I fully support a peaceful dissolution of the union. Mostly because I want leftists to reap what they've sown, and within months of not being restrained by evil conservatives most of them will be raped by packs of feral niggers and then torn apart by packs of feral shitbulls.

Not really, it would take years probably, but its fun to think about. I'm not still bitter from covid, woke, and DEI at all!

Peace and luv, peace and luv

This isn't a situation where just the cities are their own islands, like Exarchate Italy, but a division on state lines. States like NY and CA have plenty of arable farmland, and a WokeSA would presumably include places like Vermont, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, etc. And they can import food. If the two countries can maintain peaceful relations, they can trade. It wasn't too long after the Revolution that the US and England were trading again.

It would be in the interests of both countries for them to each be viable nations, to avoid war.
fuck right off with that shit. don't put that evil on me and mine. this state would never go along with NY and CA. that ain't happening.

There are more Republicans in California than any other state. You won’t find all that arable farmland so accessible.

Any talk of secession of states is moot, because the divide is not actually between states but counties, going by the rural-urban divide and the massive imbalance between the dense Democrat archipelago and the vast Republican tracts of sparse land.

Let us focus on more material matters, like how Biden's masters are desperate to try and either force a Gulf of Tonkin on Yemen and the Red Sea and the recent attack on a US Base in Jordan (likely to be blamed on the Houthis).

The GOP Senate has its priorities straight.

Go fight them yourself, chicken hawk faggot. Better yet, send your own grandkids to the draft first THEN we can talk.

I am more worried that no one around him, neither the "Union" people or his own media PR people, noticed and corrected this extremely simple mistake.

I can buy it, and even forgive it somewhat, that Biden doesn't know how to wear a hard hat and got it on backwards. But the fact it took until the picture was published for the people who were there and should have known better and had to realize how much of a pathetic display this to realize and then they went into denial of it being wrong instead of trying to play it off as old granpa joe not knowing about "them newfangled hard hats back in his day there was no strap!" or something is the worrying bit.
This. I fully admit I know totally fuck-all about wearing a hard hat, I'm not gonna get on him for that, but everybody else around not giving a shit and the media trying to carry water is what gets me.
Like when he tumbled on the bike. I bike every day and that's really an easy way to fuck up and spill out on a bike, going slow while trying to talk to somebody or focus on something other than "go forward" is cruise control for tipping over.
the REAL problem is that the professionals in charge of safety for a senior with a history of klutzing out thought putting him on a bike was a great idea to begin with
