Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

I'd be surprised if it was only 40 million.

My theory about this is that it is a threat to a lot of other Ukrainian officials. Do what I want or I will send you to prison because basically everyone is guilty of corruption.
Politicians and worldmovers are making those same shortcuts in calculating economies and odds on a global scale. In their mind they are convinced that each of their calculations happen in a vacuum where additional details are irrelevant, and they are completely ignoring evidence that the world doesn't work that way.
There is something to this. Quite a lot actually. We say that X political entity is dying or being killed and we don't usually extend the state as a living organism metaphor much further than that. But we should not only is the American Empire dying it has dementia and it can't think or act clearly. It's organs are shutting down.
Because "low cost, good quality" is something THEM DANG DIRTY GOMMIE RUZZIANS do, and since we're not DANG DIRTY GOMMIE RUZZIANS, we're the Free And Democratic West(TM), we have to do shit Our Way(TM) because Our Way(TM) is superior.
The sad thing is the US military exists to facilitate corruption. It really sucks to the soldiers that died believing they actually died to protect their homeland. Basically anywhere in which there is a lot of money moving through it in the US has some parasite collecting money. In the case of the DoD a metric fuckton of parasites.

I know that it's genuinely something that petty and dumb, but it doesn't make it any less heartbreaking.

Russia came out with a nuclear cruise missile - one which could stay airborne for a really long time. I looked at the history of the field.

I still don't see the point, but it's something that Western engineers thought was crazy because it wouldn't work. The maths check out, there was no actual reason for them to think that - any argument against a nuclear-powered aircraft was derided as crazy, because "it's not how it's done" - and here we have yet another example of arrogant "right side of history" mentalities coming up short.

It's like with the thermobaric arsenal - cheap to make, cheap to employ and it genuinely seems that if you just spammed little ones anywhere in the vicinity of an Abrams, it would choke it out completely.

I have never seen anyone bring this up! It's like they read "Oh, well, we need better armour to fight against anti-tank weapons" - and stuck their fingers in their ears despite the fact that Russia uses this shit on everything.

Abrams tanks need around five cubic meters of air per second. Unless you're in a fucking hurricane, fresh oxygen isn't just going to rush in to replace it. It would take a full few seconds on a normal day for that oxygen to mix back in. Enough for the engine to stall, especially since methane costs $1.35 per KILO. For ten dollars, you can probably take down an Abrams.

States are literally defying the Federal government so the US is a nation nearing the point when its at war with itself. Any foreign conflict it instigates will lead to similar conditions the Russian Empire found itself in before, and during WW1. We all remember what happened, right?
History doesn't repeat itself but it often does rhyme. I just hope that the "revolutionaries" aren't pseudo intellectuals of the Red variety this time around, but of fucking course they probably will be because the human race refuses to learn from its mistakes.

It sure as shit is probably much bigger than that. They probably just "forgot" to pay the "big guy" his 10% this time around.

But not even just in regards to military weaponry. Look at the cost of the Lada Niva "Legend", the original 1977 design (which is still made today). It costs 829,900₽, which is roughly $9,245 dollars. And from everything I've heard, those cars are basically fucking indestructible. If you perform basic maintenance on them, they'll last forever. On top of being sturdy and reliable and easy to maintain, they're also hatchbacks AND are off-roaders, too.

Imagine if these were allowed to be sold in the USA, with all its benefits and low cost compared to other Western vehicles of the same type? A good all-purpose utility vehicle that can be owned on a budget? It'd outsell its competitors so hard it'd be hilarious.

I think this is also a real reason for these "sanctions"...they know Russian goods would be very competitive compared to their Western counterparts. Hence the "sanctions" and smearing Russian products as cheap and shoddy.

Probably the oddest thing to me is when slavs stan lenin, because he was so massively destructive to slavkind
I see you don't take well to being corrected when you are wrong. Said to be a жид trait.

Anyway here's an interesting video from a TG DNR account:

Apparently Zelensky had Zalushny removed as head of Ukraine's military today according to many prominent Ukrainian media accounts. Looks like he'll be the scapegoat for killing all those POW's.

EDIT: they're now reporting Budanov as his replacement. That Russian-controlled nuclear power plant will probably be blown up now to drag NATO into the war, that was always his wet dream.

It would be much better for us if Germany supported Ukrainians by transferring the money intended as a refugee allowance to the Ukrainian budget, and Ukraine would redistribute the money depending on where the person went - Zelensky.

"Please insert the Ukrainian government as a middleman into the chain of German government -> Ukrainians with refugee status in Germany. This will help us ensure funds are distributed correctly"

:story: this is so pathetic it's bordering on self parody

Zelensky is now claiming that his 2021 total income was $268k and that his 2022 income was $98k. This "transparency" was supposed to show how Ukraine has no corruption.

Over the weekend, Nancy Pelosi was on CNN claiming that the Gaza ceasefire movement in the United States is controlled by Russia and called for FBI investigations of the protesters.

The New York Times had a piece today claiming that European Nations - due to Trump and lack of US support for Ukraine - are now making plans to fight a defensive war against a Russian invasion on their own. The lack of any ability, army or will in Europe to do that didn't come into the thinking of the article.

The New Yorker did an article about how democracy is dead in Ukraine and Zelensky is as entrenched and bad as the pre-2014 government of Ukraine. That the article appeared is kind of a sign of how far any support for Ukraine has fallen in the intellectual circles of the American left.
