I think the real moment when Tay lost the show was when she made fun of fatty to the point were he was really questioning wether or not he should be on the show. Sam had to come up and reassure him that he wasn’t using him and he really seemed like he was being serious with him. It also really showed howw nasty Tay could be when she was saying shit like
"Your mom had fucking cancer and died. See? I can go there. But I won't."
or "At least my parents are alive and I get to talk to them. I could go there Chris but I haven't." I don’t entirely disagree with her that they’re using Chris as a sort of circus freak but I do think that Sam genuinely cares for him. If he had actually walked from the show after that she probably would have been immediately eliminated. I also think her cutting her hair for no reason was test to see how much she was willing to debase herself and I don’t think she passed it.

The problem with this argument is that Tay wasn't even interested in arguing until Fatty brought up her father and shit talked him, which is touching the third rail for her. She was trying to tell Fatty to fuck off from talking about her parents by elaborating what she could dig into but refused to. I agree wasn't a good strategy in an argument at all, but she was getting frustrated with him because she had backed off and thought all the beefs had been squared, only for him to fly off the handle in an over the top manner when she said he needs to stop getting naked and sitting his bare ass on all the furniture because it probably gave TJ pinkeye. There was a brief spat over the pinkeye thing because she cared that TJ was both injured in the ribs and then got pinkeye and felt Fatty sitting his unwashed ass on all the furniture was the cause. It ended quickly only for there to be an offhand comment from Tay about vaccines causing autism that made Fatty go into the frothing rage and this is where Tay started going nuclear because Fatty brought her father into it.

Its a big irony that TJ was in B1 resting thinking Tay was a bitch, evil, and hated him while she was arguing with Fatty out of concern for his health since she felt it ruined his chances as a competitor in the finale.

By the first quarter, this dynamic was entirely thrown off and the other production members were about as unreliable and antagonistic as Sam and Jet. Hell, I would even say at times they were actually more unreliable than Sam. Sam will occasionally lie to you or misdirect you, but he will generally give a direct answer if given a direct question. Weirdly, I think he was maybe the only one that had any sense of fair play here, if you set aside the obvious rigging towards TJ towards the end. Some of the other members of the production will lie to you outright and keep the lie going for yuks. If they were going to start fucking with the Fish, they needed some easy way of delineating between referee and antagonist. Say for instance, a unique costume of some sort. Maybe something that obscures their face to remove the human element. I dunno, I'm just spitballing here.

Tay and Danye were talking at the bar at one point around 3-5am and the topic came up at TTS prodding. What Tay described her views as would likely be more likened to racial profiling, she has a template of each racial group and what to expect from them and some of these groups she wants to keep as far away from her as possible as they bring nothing but trouble, when Danye obviously wasn't some niggerish thug, she warmed up instantly to him. Danye didn't even disagree with her logic, he said the way Tay thinks is entirely normal and its how he operates as well to an extent. In S2 they're both hostile towards the fish. Bens general attitude seemed to blur more from doing a bit to making you wonder if he actually doesn't like the contestants. Even Vance seemed indifferent towards the end. Plus you had Airsoft Fatty coming in from the get go and telling them how they're all shit and not as good as S1. But he's a obese NEET so no one is going to take him seriously.

The only staff who were positive to the fish were Scott, Chris Lynch and Sams weight lifting coach. But they had limited time with the fish. Also Sam was more positive than production. And if anyone should be antagonistic, it should be him. This is why I'd rather have the sharks back in being a faceless antagonists and Jet and Co so back into the basement and only come out to give challenges and cig deliveries. At least then Jet can just sit in the basement and smoke like he wants to.

Sam being a wildcard is fine. He has the ability and foresight to be good cop and bad cop when the situation suits it- he's good on his feet and can keep situations interesting on the fly. All the other wiggers absolutely can not do this. Everyone else needs to be a good cop or a bad cop and stay there to keep production grounded.
