I am really happy to have confirmation and see that I'm not exactly stupid in my observations. Having said that, James O'Keefe absolutely fucked this guy over. Once this starts making the rounds, he's done. I was going to be sensitive to that, but after having just finished it, nah, fuck this guy.

The White House is REFUSING to hand over early drafts of President Biden’s 2015 Ukraine speech where he called for the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin.
These drafts are important as it is believed, based on public reporting, that the then-VP “called an audible” and changed U.S. policy toward Ukraine to benefit his son on the plane ride to Ukraine.
Joe Biden later bragged about withholding a U.S. loan guarantee if Ukraine did not fire the prosecutor.
If the White House does not permit the production of these documents, our committee will consider the use of compulsory process.

Because appearances are incredibly important to the left, among the wider average voter at least. There's an inherent benign assumption that if minorities are discriminated against for positions, something they defacto take as law, then any minority who does make it must inherently be especially competent - how else would they overcome their discrimination to rise to the top? The idea of a token hire by manipulative powers isn't on their radar, because in their worldview, the manipulative powers would put an old white man in that position because of the old boys club if they could.
On the flip side, it also means trying to remove one of these people without incredibly irrefutable good reason is practically impossible. If your operating off the presumption that they're competent and good at their job, then the only reason to replace them would be outside of their work performance, IE Discrimination. As the guy says, the optics become terrible. The only way they can cut them out is when they're so obviously fucking the job up, for everyone to see, that even the lefties can internally justify it. Bonus points if the successor is also a minority.
