I'm so glad it got an anime movie because that shit was absolutely amazing. Probably my AOTY for last year, the last 30 minutes were beautiful.I was actually presently surprised something like Blue Giant got an anime film recently because the way the story is set up, I honestly was expecting it to get a live action instead.
Don't. I want Black Lagoon un-tarnished.Just give me a live action version of Black Lagoon so I can watch a Chinese-American girl bully a Japanese salaryman and how they'll inevitably try to pretend a man with long blond hair is Jewish.
Old boy manga is so fucking shit, 8 volumes of characters making pouty faces. Such a waste of time.Kinda like the Live action version of Aoi Honoo but I fully admit it would of been better as an anime
case and point
There's also Old Boy, although I've never actually read the original manga and just know it was the Koreans that added incest instead of the Japanese this time.
Also kinda unrelated but speaking of jap live action adaptations I found this awhile ago and couldn't help asking why

This is a japanes drama series called Columbo of Shinano, and yes the whole gimmick is literally what if columbo was japanese
The guy sounds like a fag and claims to be a leftist furry "nonbinary" nutjob., so no wonder he's empathetic. YouTube likes to recommend this channel and Bonsai Pop... but they both offer the same sort of takes, albeit in different forms. The Bonsai Pop guy looks like he's in some punk band, complete with shitty tattoos and takes. At least he doesn't claim to be a non-binary thirty-three-year-old possum like Kaiser does.View attachment 5686830
Went on a weird rant in Japanese society about stereotyping over a child serial killer. Then they went on ranting about anime fans in the 80s and 80s speaking out on censoring western feminism and anime having a pro-capitalistic message. Than un-anime related anti-capiralism rant. I personally find it pretty suspicious that kaiserbeamz sounds sympathetic towards the Otaku killer.
I didn't watch him for very long, bailed out on his channel over his AIR review since he treated Vic Mignogna like Voldemort despite not wanting to open that can of worms. But yes, he does sound like a complete fag and insane. The guy sounds like a fag and claims to be a leftist furry "nonbinary" nutjob
Of course they do. Gundam series are still being made. They do have a subsidiary studio called Bandai Namco Pictures now; that studio is responsible for the Iruma-kun anime.Does Sunrise still exist?
I only watched the first episode. Based on the trailer I was hoping it would be filled with shirtless bara scenes but I guess not.Holy shit the new episode of Bravern is legit unwatchable. Had to skip to the end out of impatience but I'm starting to lose interest with the overly dark ending and constant filler.
But are they not gonna update it anymore? Not that anyone cares/missed it, but MangaDex officially turned six years old just a week ago
Sunrise was renamed to Bandai Namco Filmworks. With the recent folding of Sunrise Beyond (the substudio that made Build Divers and AMAIM), there is no longer any studio named Sunrise. I think the Sunrise logo was used in some SEED Freedom promotional material, though.Of course they do. Gundam series are still being made. /m/ has some interesting theories about Bravern. I'll continue watching it because it will hopefully have lots of threads that tie together in the end.Holy shit the new episode of Bravern is legit unwatchable. America had this too, not as widespread but fair. Here's something nostalgic for folks that lived in Southeast Asia
Space Brothers, hands down.I need some recommendations ! I want a Space anime and i dont want stupid big robots or kids. also please dont add me with the most basic stuff, i have seen aloooot of space anime...
i already watched that... good stuff, realy like the near future stuff but off all of them planetes has the nicest designs.Space Brothers, hands down.
I have a whole HD with only the stuff from that universe. real good stuffThere's also the original Space Pirate Captain Harlock and The Irresponsible Captain Tylor in which episode 23 is the greatest episode in the history of anime.
Seconding Space BrothersI need some recommendations ! I want a Space anime and i dont want stupid big robots or kids. also please dont add me with the most basic stuff, i have seen aloooot of space anime...
What about Angel Links, Sol Bianca or Banner of The Stars?Seconding Space Brothers
Planetes is a maybe, its been a long time since I watched it not sure how well its aged (and if you have already watched it, worth pointing out that the anime and manga actually start to diverge around episode 3 or 4 so their almost two different stories)
Lily CAT is a interesting choice, tldr its a rip off alien with the whole unknown creature hunts a crew of a spaceship, but I think its one of the only scifi anime I can think of where time debt is a major plot point with characters do to a combination of cryosleep and time dilatation only aging a year or two on ship when 20-30 have based back home.
Outlaw Star is the often forgotten member of the space western trio that was popular in the late 90s early 20s along with Bebop and Trigun so take that as you will
Cobra is an old one from the 70s, although someone else more familiar with the franchise can probably tell you which adaptation to start with
