Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

The press coverage seems to indicate that she is going from person to person at the top of the government meeting each of them individually. That would typically indicate a government where nobody is working with each other and nobody is in charge anymore.
I somewhat disagree as it doesn't have to be that bad for this to happen. This also happens whenever you have a really big decision to make and you need to get everyone on board. Hitler did this before Barbarossa for example.

This situation is unusual because it is so public, stuff like this has absolutely happened before but usually it is conducted in a much more shadowy manner.

Its hard to gauge the willingness there is in the military to depose Zelensky, by all accounts the troops on the front are largely exhausted and demoralized since the war became a quagmire with a huge attrition rate long ago, its hard for me to see them willing to gamble on a coup mid war. The paramilitary groups though? Inscrutable as always
There is something else important to the leak. Not only what is was but where it was leaked to. British news outlets leaked it as well as Pro-Ukraine social media sources. American news outlets reported that it was just rumors and that Ukrainian's MoD said it wasn't happening. There may be splits and divisions amongst the western faction which will tell the military to coup him.

I agree that he is popular and ran the military in a competent way. But I'm not sure he has the skills to run the government. Especially a government like Ukraine.
Neither did zman tbh. He just does what he is told and constantly asks for gibs. He fails whenever he goes off script.
I don't think Zaluzhniy would be just as easy to control.
The question is how many of those real threat true-believers (Azov) have already been eliminated in Mariupol and Bakhmut? These guys. How many of them are still alive since this video was made in 2019?
They never stopped recruiting. If anything there are probably more of them now than there used to be before Azovstal. They aren't frontline fighters if rumors are to be believed. I read that one of their bases is in Kharkov now where Aidar used to be the main paramilitary group. They likely merged with other groups and are more centralized.

We don’t need your flying trash’: Misunderstanding scuttles transfer of 41 Australian Hornets to UA

A senior Ukrainian Air Force official refused an offer from two Australians to receive 41 of the country’s decommissioned F/A-18 Hornet fighters, bluntly stating that "we do not need your flying trash," reported the Australian Financial Review on Jan. 30.

This statement effectively killed the deal, highlighting a stark misunderstanding between Australia and Ukraine amid Ukrainian pilots' desperate attempts to evade Russian aircraft.

The incident occurred as Ukraine was navigating the challenges of avoiding Russian fighters, revealing a significant miscommunication between the two nations.

Australia stands as the world’s seventh-largest military spender based on purchasing power, according to the Lowy Institute. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese claimed that Australia is among the top military aid donors to Ukraine outside NATO.

One thing often forgotten about Western Equipment is how unbelievably old it is. A lot of the shit Ukraine gets is old and broken down.

That reminds me the places where the Nationalist units are most powerful is not somewhere like Galicia actually. It is in some of the places that have the highest concentration of Russians. One of their main purposes is to keep the population of these places in line. IIRC it was the nationalist units that burned the people alive in Odessa.

Oooof the Bruces got felted. Not sure hoholistan is in a position to do that, but it was funny.

Guys. There's no way to get this hohol tar baby off except by killing it, or to be precise, cut off all money and weapons.

But they won't do it because these neocons are in the throes of a sunk cost fallacy and still believe they can topple Russia if they give it just one more shot.
It's not exactly sunk cost fallacy, because it's not their own lives or money they're spending. The only way to stop the neocons is to release their natural predator: :trump:

It's when your guys are exhausted and demoralized that they're most likely to revolt.

Idk why high mileage used F-16's are supposed to be wonder weapons, but high mileage used F-18's are "flying trash". But look at what this official spokesman for the Ukraine Air Force is saying:

Ukraine is pursuing “the only available path to Western aircraft, as much as possible”, Ihnat wrote in response to Facebook post citing Australian Financial Review article. “If you don't know, don't gossip. There is a clear position on aircraft, both public and private. We are moving towards our goal... It's hard, but we're moving, despite external and internal enemies,” Ihnat added.

I know it's Ukraine, the home of war cringe, but still not a good sign when your air force is vague posting on FB about "internal enemies". :punished:

I don’t trust that shit at all. This seems like a very convenient scapegoat to explain the dismal state of Ukraine. They’ll find someone else to “lead” their military, along with the west issuing another aid package worth tens into hundreds of billions of dollars, and it’ll all get stolen or flushed down the toilet, along with tens of thousands of more lives wasted. I don’t know what kind of retard would want to be the next Zaluzhny, who will just end up getting scapegoated when he inevitably fails.

Any reason at all to suppose this is genuine? Like there are a lot of signs that there is serious friction between the Zs and also between factions in Kiev govt. and the USA paymasters, but my bullshit metre is going off. Seems all rather convenient and well-tailored. The MyLordBebo account posts some interesting stuff and is worth following but he's never struck me as one to rigorously verify.

The Aussie jets were beat to shit, so beat up that Canada refused them as spare parts mules as they were also un-upgraded.

That Corvette was a 500 ton ~40 year old design that was swarmed by at least 10 low observable suicide boats with multi hundred pound warheads. It also had an extremely limited AA armament and a rather light anti surface armament as well, excepting it's 4 anti ship missiles which aren't very useful against the essentially non-existent Ukrainian Navy.

In ship terms, 500 tons is really the bare minimum displacement needed to be considered a truly ocean-going craft.

Meanwhile on land Russia is advancing in multiple areas of the front....
