Rocksteady teases Suicide Squad game

I didn't even know Conroy was gay until today, in fact. This completely recolors how I'm going to look at anything voiced by Conroy. Fuck.
To be fair to Conroy he was pretty private about being gay. He stated that he didn't feel like being gay was what defined him. It was that he was a voice for a hero for several generations of children. He would only talk about being gay if it was brought up, otherwise he would mostly talk about being the voice for Batman or his other voice work. Shows a stark difference between his generation and today's generation who believe that your sexuality is what defines you. Not your personality or work.

"So, let's take a master sharpshooter, a crazy Australian with a fondness for knives, boomerangs, and boomerang knives, Harley Quinn, and a giant shark and have them kill the Justice League."

And nobody at Rocksteady or WB thought this was a terrible idea? You could have easily kept Braniac around and made it so these guys were on a suicide mission into his secret lair while the Justice League is out there fighting off his armies. We've got The Dirty Dozen after all. Just treat them like the psychopaths they are and have them constantly bicker and snipe at each other, Deadshot being the pragmatic team leader who really doesn't want to piss off Waller but hates who he is saddled with, Boomerang there because he wants to start knoifing people, Harley for the same reason, and King Shark all "Hurr durr I want a steak".
You basically just described the setup of Assault on Arkham.

Everything was going great till after they got rid of (or simply did not hire) Bruce Tim for writing Arkham knight.
Timm wasn't involved in the games, you're thinking of Paul Dini.

Batman VR
The way I understood it, the whole thing was an experimental project, so while disappointing, it felt like a lot of the other VR things of the time. It wasn't so much a proper game as much as it was a little puzzle experience. I was fine with it, didn't love it, but at least it still felt like Batman was Batman more or less.

His being gay was an "open secret" but the fact that he never really made a thing out of it is part of what made him so beloved. Outside of his talent/work as Batman, he was just known as a genuinely nice guy. Always nice to fans, appreciated the role, apparently he was volunteering on 9/11, there's a whole story about people recognizing his voice randomly.

I know this is autistic nitpicking but it still bothers me that Captain Boomerang is wearing a Sergeants chevrons on his sleeves

The game got 12k players peak on steam in release day, thats fucking horrible, gothan knights got 24k, the avengers disaster game got 31k. And i have been seing ads for this game non stop on twitch.
Also for a more recent example Persona 3 released yesterday and it had 42k players peak.

The reviews on steam are positive because no one other than the shills bought the game, maybe the game will blow up on the weekend but lmao i doubt it.

I know bringing up inconstancies in comic media and the hero's inaction with events tied to their universe is somewhat pointless, especially in this scenario, but has anyone touched on how this game makes the arkham games... weird?... as superman, the flash, green lantern, or wonder woman should've intervened in genocidal events. Better yet, why the hell did they attach this to the arkhamverse at all? Is there any sort of article from the lead writer or a writer about why? Other than there being batman, and the intro shot of the cars riding into arkham asylum being stolen from the arkham asylum game, there's nothing important used or referenced from what I saw. The game gets shit wrong constantly, like poison ivy and harley. Why didn't they just make it an independent universe, and instead of killing the justice league, the suicide squad saves them, showing the heros that they're good deep down or some gooey heartwarming shit. Maybe rocksteady could've made more games based on superman, the flash, green lantern, or wonder woman too. Why are they stupid, and why do they hate money?

Tbf, there’s a lot of superheroes/villains who add “Captain “ to their moniker but don’t actually hold that rank, I doubt Captain Planet has ever even been in the military haha

Bruce Tim for writing Arkham knight. That was a MASSIVE mistake that hurt the story and made it very predictable and trite.
Dini was the story writer and he seemed to leave on his own accord. Had Timm wrote, the game probably would have been filled with fetish material as his recent output has been Batman & Harley Quinn and The Killing Joke film, both containing unnecessary sex scenes that fuel Bruce’s weird ships.

I hope he directs some of that hate to WB for being fucking brain dead retards thinking they can make Suicide Squad be the new Guardians. Hopefully this game will be the final nail in their attempts at shoving these characters down our throat's.
Bro, I am sorry to inform you, but this isn’t happening. James Gunn stuck his claim into SS and it is not going anywhere. He already confirmed that his SS will return in the new universe, so more Peace Maker and Margot Harley. He is also doubling down with a Waller show and by making Creature Commandos, which includes the Weasel from his film.

Conroy connected Batman to his own life as a gay man because they similarly live out a double life. He found Batman fit a lot of his own personal issues, hence why he was able to perform such a perfect rendition.

Captain is derived from the word "Chieftain" and "Chief" is derived from the word "caput" which refers to the head. Ultimately, the word refers to leadership. It is associated with rank, but the rank itself is called such because of what the word means and not the other way around.

So what Happened to Aquaman and Green Arrow in this game?
No idea. Harley Quinn can jump from a skyscraper in this game and land completely unharmed. Revolvers eject bullet casings. Safe to say there's enough that doesn't make sense to an extent that asking completely sensible questions isn't really going to get you anywhere.
