Nah, I've read ass comics before. Isom is just plainly average. People who act like it's the worst thing ever are being disingenuous at best. Now, this is hot diarrhea ass:

Isom has pages worth of drawings that are as ass as the captain marvel you posted or more so. Difference is there's no Marvel Fans defending that particular work. Nor are they wearing hoodies of that character to the gym.

It's extremely fair to say Isom is one of the worst comics of all time. Between the art and the even worse dialogue you'd have to dig deep into the latest Marvel or DC transactivist written comics to work up a comparison.

Eric's dialogue reminds me of this compilation of bad voice acting from one year's NBA2k story modes. I guess they got the real players to voice this shit and it shows. It has that kind of same reading from a paper feel that a lot of the Isom dialogue sounds like if you say it out loud. Which is something 1st draft July probably didn't do.

We can't forget the huge meltdown EVS had because Kamen America became more popular than cyberfrog... he spent days crying about it. Kinda similar to the Rippaverse situation, actually... Although Kamen America is much better than Isom (for now, at least)...

It was slightly different than the Rippaverse situation. Back at the beginning of comicsgate, Ethan shit all over Tim Lim's work for no particular reason at all on a stream and Tim came back at him to a point where Ethan had to actually back down due to the reaction of his pre-cult audience.

Losing to Tim Lim lead to the creation of warcampaign about a month later. Ethan also invited an elaborate story where Tim Lim was attempting to blackmail Mitch Breitweiser's wife with nude photos to get Mitch to share the secrets of Comicsgate with Tim. Why would Tim have nude photos of Mitch's wife? He was very clever.

And a couple months later, Warcampaign and Ethan went after the original cashgrab which featured Tim Lim as artist. It turned out that the guy who was co-writing cashgrab with Cecil was a nazi who intended to put Ethan's retarded daughter into the gas chamber as well as killing poor Cecil's dreams of making a comic book.

Ethan had warcampaign brigade Lim's streams for over a year. Out of slavish loyalty to Ethan, Mitch got rid of Mark Peligrini from Red Rooster.

Any success that Tim and Mark later had with Kamen America was later explained by comicsgate as being illegitimate because Tim and Mark have day jobs where they make money. Proper comics creators are supposed to lay around the house all day drunk or stoned.

Its maybe five years later and Ethan is still mad at Lim over what happened in 2018.

Everyone has seen this one cropped page of Captain Marvel for fucking years now. It's not proof all comics are bad. Using it is a sign you are a CG fag who doesn't know comics at all. It's the visual equivalent of "your just jealous" or "we want great stories" I mentioned last time.

Literally none of the art in Isom is that bad and I can actually read it without wanting to blow my brains out. It's the bare minimum of average.

Like the weird kid who didn't get an invite to the party, so he must sit in his widow and watch everyone else have a good time. Except when he pulls the blinds to the side and peaks his head out, people notice and then point and laugh at him. Wasnt able to scroll up high enough but as soon as he showed up, chat members started spamming him with his "age of consent" debate and his "If hes a pedo, Its not my business" comments. Lmao

Artists can't even agree on seemingly basic shit like perspective and anatomy when they want to attack each other. I'm not trusting them to review anything, much less something they spent the last year shilling to their audience.
Without having watched EVS's reviews, I assume he reached the conclusion ISOM 1, ISOM 2, Alphacore and Shadow of the Conqueror were all garbage, while Bronze Star was really good actually.

Speaking of Berserk, I heard someone say Malin bought the 1st volume of Berserk. I'll be very surprised if he doesn't say it's shit.

The fact it made as much as it did should be a reflection again on its quality. So yeah it's worth considering the dollar value behind Isom when looking at its artistic merit.

There's an audience who doesn't care how good your comic is. They only care if it fits their confirmation bias and is anti-woke.

He has also made comics for marvel, was the showrunner for the DC animated series Young Justice, created several iconic transformers toys and is a friend to every single major Manga creator in Japan. He also an employee of Indiegogo and has the power to shadowban any comics campaign.

I don't disagree. I don't think Cyberfrog or ISOM would have done as well as they did without that thin veneer of being anti-SJW.

I think Kamen America, stripped of the culture war stuff, might have still found an audience among the weeb crowd, but even that's probably debatable.

So much of this is wrapped around the premise that people think they're making some sort of statement by buying these things. They are not.
