The bank leaks one had the most batshit twists and turns imo. What is even the current Grand Narrative about it? Is the "trolls stole $9k from me" narrative still relevant? I think "I spent thowlsands on lawyers to fix this" is still part of the current narrative, I know for sure that "It wasn't my account but I still had my identity stolen" is.
The bank leaks are particularly interesting, not just because they shed a light on the insane finances of the snort fort, but also because it’s like a class in Phil’s bullshit artistry.

Step 1: Sow doubt and confusion: “They weren’t even my bank records! Can you prove they’re mine?”

Step 2: Deflect: “They STOLE money from me!”, “I lost HUNDREDS of dollars in late fees!” “I had to spend THOUSANDS of dollars on lawyers straightening this mess out!”

Step 3: Shut it down: “I’m not even going to talk about it anymore because I’ve already explained it NUMEROUS times”.

Phil isn’t particularly smart, but he’s wily and he’s become skilled at covering inconvenient facts in a cloud of bullshit. Ultimately he told like half a dozen different lies to mask the bank leaks, and all of a sudden we’re not talking about how he burns money on gacha, but about his lies on late fees.

The chances of Phil ever playing Fightcade are so low as to be basically nonexistent. These teases are bluffs - the skill floor of the average Fightcade C-rank is beyond even Phil's "glory days" in the neo geo conversion of Super Turbo 2. It's a whole playerbase consisting of Gojitenks...es, and Phil is likely smart enough to know it.
That being said, many people said that we'd never see Khet on stream again too, so if I'm wrong before this year's over, feel free to @ me and call me a faggot or whatever.
If a dent does all the work and puts Fightcade with all the ROMs and correct settings for Dave where he has to do nothing but click Yes in his e-mail... I think he would try a stream. I don't know if that's possible

You have to wonder though - is he really good at it if everyone can tell he's bullshit ting?

The true and honest dents will love him and support him even though they know he's a gacha addict and an alcoholic. They're not necessarily buying into what he's trying to convince them is true, for the most part I don't think they care. They just like him (for whatever reason), and video games.

The detractors can see through the bullshit because it's incredibly transparent and unconvincing. They pick apart everything he says in autistic detail, sometimes misunderstand what he means, and some of them are so biased they think he's lying on purpose about things that aren't necessarily lies. But still, they see though the bullshit.

The casual youtube viewer will listen to him for 5 minutes, get bored and watch something else.

In the grand scheme of things, other Youtubers see him as a living meme, the butt of a joke, and a parody of what they do, so he is never taken seriously.

He knows what the truth is, despite being delusional, and convincing himself to believe his own reality clearly doesn't work (since he's been doing it for a decade and is still cycling the same talking points).

I still think my favourite thing about DSP is that he thinks being a "variety streamer" means you can never, ever play the same game two days in a row. You have to play something different every time. Ignoring the fact that for everyone with a brain it means you play a variety of games.. but you still usually finish one before moving on to another. You know, to keep a single game from stretching out over several months and boring everyone.

his ginbrain suffered another stroke trying to come up with excuses during his TEKKEN stream today.

Wait…

Lack of character knowledge, he kept hitting Phil, and Phil couldn’t fight back.

I may be a mouthdrooling morahn, but isn’t that the definition of getting outplayed?!🤔

Kinda makes me wonder what Phil believes getting outplayed looks like!

I will never not find it funny that this self confessed 'former alcoholic' makes drinking booze part of his 'special' streams and hypes it up.
It really is one of the best LARPs Dave does IMO. Just the idea that this fat retard overcame multiple addictions by sheer force of will but then also somehow he's able to casually partake in the things he was addicted to. It's pure insanity that he can claim shit like this when it's pretty much a universal truth that addicts can't really go back to casual use.

It doesn't matter what fighting game Phil plays, he will keep on being the same old Phil!

SF6 (for reference)

T8

Can anyone really tell the difference which fighting game he plays?

It's not appalling if it's not your money... this is the same man that flushes bacon grease down his toilet and gets mad when he has plumbing issues. I dump my used oil onto my lawn when i change my oil, because i'm too lazy to take it to walmart to recycle it... is that appalling? I don't complain about the grass not growing there anymore, I see it as a benefit, less grass to cut; some folks are sluggards through and through.
Imagine the culinary goodness he could have made if he mixed the bacon grease with the meat and made burgers.
people in the comments are saying that Phil didn't snort at all during the Side Scrollers interview, Kat's reveal and his bankruptcy hearing. Idk if it's true, and I don't have the time to look back just for that, I've heard Phil snort so much that I got used to it and don't pay attention when he doesn't snort
It's absolutely true.
If I can steal one of Phil's mannerisms, we are just making a factual observation when we say Phil still rocks back and forth on the x and y axis. Motherfucker can't sit still.
You'll notice it starts when he starts lting and making shit up.

True. The one part he is consistent about is he had a herniated disc in his lower back. But, his lack of treatment and symptoms don't fit a herniated disc. Needing to get up and walk for 10 minutes isn't going to help.

I would bet that Dave did have some slight back pain, maybe from a car crash, maybe just because he's fat with terrible posture. He never got treatment for it. He read about back injuries online and ran with it as his "I can't work" excuse.

His “back injury” will probably end up what he tries to lean on after whatever’s left of his streaming career farts out.

Just wanted to give a warm recommend to yet another banger from WPIG

Haven’t watched it all yet, but a few things stand out. Such as: How GODDAMN ADDICTED Phil was to this game.

Now mind you, this is well before WWE Champions, but we already have Phil admitting to blowing hundreds of dollars on single events, recommending thousand dollar level up packs, and at one point talking about playing the game FOR OVER 80 HOURS over a two week period. Basically a full time job.

Another thing that stands out is how damn UNLIKABLE Phil is.

He started posting on the games forums as just another new player.

Within a month or two, the other Supercard players had basically unanimously turned against him, posting about his self aggrandizing attitude and sense of entitlement.

TLDR: Anywhere Phil turns up, he turns into a pariah solely because he’s such a toxic morahn.

(Extra lulzy to hear Phil humblebrag to another player how he’s a mature ahdult with a beautiful girlfriend, his own house and a successful business. Within a year Phil would be begging hardcore at fundraisers.)
I’m half way through the episode now and holy SHIT. It never ceases to amaze me how much he needs attention, and how basically everyone he interacts with—regardless of the setting—leaves with the same conclusion: “this guy is a self obsessed asshole, I wish he’d go away”. Much like a hello Jew, with Phil it’s every single time. This stream is a great watch, and although I don’t follow WPIG as closely as I do the TBS proper, episodes like this really do a great job giving the viewer an in depth look into deep cuts of lore.

Phil acting like he doesn't know why he's getting hit in Tekken 8 is hilarious - For those not in the know, frame data(a concept Phil struggles with heavily) is much more important in Tekken, as some moves are plus on block(means the person attacking can move before the person blocking). But perhaps the moment that set me off the most is this particular tidbit from his match with a Kazuya:
That move is Kazuya's Twin Pistons, a move that has remained a part of Kazuya's rock-solid block punish kit since Tekken One. Mister Tekken 3 Mall Tournament Winner seems incapable of recognizing that there is no reason for a Kazuya to EVER not follow-up, and for some reason decides to press mid-string. This shit is embarrassing for a veteran, let alone a player in yellow ranks. Funny how he calls "Button spam" when he's the one most guilty of it.

Whenever he plays a legacy character he keeps getting wrecked by moves they've had since Tekken 3 at least, which is hilarious once you factor in that during every Copecast before Tekken he makes sure to say "I'm learning! I haven't played competitively since 3 and 4!" But what happens when he gets hit by hellsweep (sorry, "That spin rolling kick") spamming Kazuyas and DJins? That one Nina that wrecked him with her knee contact multithrow? The Bryan that kept spamming the launching b+1 elbow? All moves that those characters have had for more than two decades at this point? "I don't know what they're doing! I've never seen those moohfs! I've got lACK of character khnawledge!" What a fraud of a veteran with a fraud of a shortbus Tekken mall tournament trophy.

Oh also, someone asked him where he sees himself in 10 years. His response? "Uuuuuh... I don't." I genuinely burst out laughing because you could make the case for both him being suicidal and him just being too fucking stupid and low IQ to be able to entertain a hypothetical.

Reminder that this idiot has no fucking clue what a Rainy Day Fund is. And refused to be corrected when he gave the obviously wrong answer.

How old would his parents be by now?

Do you think he relies on them kicking the bucket so he can inherit their shit and sell it to keep going a while longer?

  • He HAS to snort. My memory is fuzzy, but didn't he say he can use a nasal spray to stop snorting but doesn't want to because he would have to use that forever?
I know a guy who got post nasal drip after COVID and it actually didnt make him snort at all. IIRC it made him cough often but he got a nasal spray and recovered from it in a month or so. Drinking a lot of water is meant to help as well, but DSP would rather drink gin.

He doesn't know how to break throws in Tekken either, he thinks it is some character specific knowledge to break every throw instead of just King's.

A dragunov threw him and he said "I dont know how to break it, I don't even know if it's a throw or a command throw." And that he was "locked in place" by a string before a throw.

It sounds like he thinks command throws can't be broken. I don't think he even knows you are meant to react to which arm they grab you with.

Kat failed in being the soulmaid, she barely or doesn't cook at all, she obviously despises streaming with him and collecting all the money like he wants...Who is he impressing?
It's a stick it to the ex move. Phil loves to hold grudges after all.
There's a few dents that do this, because filing a counter complaint requires putting personal info in. Dave's ability to goad his retard fans into nuking things like TIHYDP is why we don't get good ones anymore ajd why DSP is becoming increasingly irrelevant even by his standards.
They don't check your info in the counter claim, they just use it if the complainer, hi dent wheelchair kill yourself, actually sues when you counter their claim. The wheelchair won't be suing on behalf of Phil and Phil can't afford a lawyer with sweatyman.jpgs to collect, "Joshua Conner Moon" could reply to each and every one of them, theoretically.

I'm starting to suspect that "tournament" was actually just Phil going to the mall when they hosted the special needs student fair from the local wheelchair educational facility nearby and he made the trophy after none of the literal mouth drooling morons there at the arcade that day could beat him on the cabinet. Phil would lie retroactively about it if that was the actual story too.

David, 67. Linda, 68.

Phil is probably hoping for inheritance, but it's suggested that a junkie cousin Melissa that lived with them could get it.
I think the narrative that Melissa could get it is a detractor cope into dealing with the possibility that Phil might get bailed by his parents one last time, which will prevent him from complete financial ruin. Life's not fair.

The best case scenario would be if Phil only inherits debt. Debt his parents collected to support their failure of a child. That would be karma. But who knows maybe Phil croaks before them (now THAT would be funny)

If you have seen the WPIG episode "A Kingdom of Lies" you know how the SRK forum thought of Phil at that point (2010). And they point out that if Phil wins the 1st round of an online match he will act all smug and boast and belittle his opponent. But if he suddenly stats loosing he will say "My moves didnt come out!" "My combo didn't work" "I was blocking!". That was 2010. How does he sound 14 years later? Is there ANY difference? Any? No. I think the only excuse that is added is "Damn Cannon brothers with their stupid ass rollback netcode that gives mashers an advantage"
