I started off a centrist.
I lurched toward Obama because bush signed the fucking patriot act and was cancelling fucking singers.
I didn't vote in 2012 because Romney made his fortune selling American jobs to China.
I voted for Trump in 2016 because he promised to do what Obama failed to do, and to UNDO the damage Obama did.

Then the democrats went absolutely berserk
They declared open war on freedom of speech because they lost the public debate.
They started debanking all and sundry.
I voted even harder for Trump in 2020 despite the GOP refusing to act on the neofascism rising on the left.
That election was then stolen.
At this point I'm EXTREMELY hard right.
I'm wide awake to the rank corruption from our elections to the judiciary, and have soured on "democracy" as a psyop by the permanent bureaucrats to dissuade people from stringing them from lamp posts with the prospect of "next election".

I will still vote in the hope that I am wrong, but will not be expecting anything less than a tripling down on lawlessness and election theft.

What's really interesting is how unpopular it is with rank and file Democrats here. They may not like Trump at all, but there's a general feeling of discomfort in using blatantly dirty tricks to get rid of him and denying the choice to other voters. In short, they want to beat him fair and square, which was always going to be the case here. It really comes across as a move to humiliate and anger the Republican minority here rather than save Hawaii from giving their electoral votes to the Republicans.

To me it comes across as being scared. The states that are pulling Trump from the ballot are states that have historically always voted blue. Generally you would expect removing Trump from the ballot to be a completely pointless exercise - unless you are afraid that he may actually flip the state red.

Dementia runs in my family and I'm acutely aware of how it steals the person away and replaces them with an angry, scared husk of a man towards the end. The fact that they can keep all of the leaks about his private behavior this close to the vest is terrifying. Usually there would at least be rumors and whispers leaking out but there's nothing. This shit is a lot scarier than just 1 crashing plane. Nothing is supposed to get signed off on an aircraft until multiple sets of eyes have verified the work. The worker does the job according to the pubs. The collateral duty inspector checks the work and signs it off. Then a QA inspector comes behind the CDI to make sure they inspected it properly. The worker comes back and closes all the panels around the job, double checking that no tools or debris were left inside the airframe. There can be more sign offs required above QA but that's usually only for certain jobs.

For this to fly, a minimum of 3 people, at least 2 having inspection qualifications, had to blow it off. I can't stress enough how strict the aerospace industry is and something like this getting through is egregious. If someone dies and it goes back to the mechanic or inspectors ignoring pubs, they can be held liable and thrown in prison.

The competency crisis is real.
