I don't watch LMG either but how little "Tech Fiona" is mentioned here makes me think they hid his ass.As someone who doesn't watch the linux channel, has tranthony been in anything recently?

Ratcheting was a godsend for dealing with my case fans. If only because I had to hold onto the fan at the back then engage all my limp wristed nerd strength to get the screws out. Beyond that it's pretty useless for a PC build, I use the Wiha/Xiaomi precision kit that @Slav Power loves for 80% of PC work.Ever notice that the gamers nexus screwdriver set is non-ratcheting? There's no need for ratcheting when building a PC.
fans are the only thing in PC building that ratchet drivers even work, and then only really for the first time when you cut the threads into the plasticRatcheting was a godsend for dealing with my case fans. Steve seems hyperfocused on extracting as much value out of things as possible. His team is tiny compared to Linus', his HQ is in North Carolina and he doesn't overspend on equipment or buy unnecessary bullshit. He really is the Anti-Linus in so many ways so of course his merch reflects that too by being functional and reasonably priced.
How fucking old are you??Because cases removed that 5.25 inch bay, kids these days don't have the built in cupholders anymore.

That Deklan guy has such an uncomfortable look, like he's trying way too hard to LARP as punk when his entire job is the most boring, bureaucratic 'The Man' work you can possibly do. Just strikes me as weird.Plus there are now two bookkeepers, one to cook the books the other to hide the Chyna money for sex trafficking the LAN center will be revealed to be a front for.
If you are doing it enough to require an electric screwdriver just get the Ryobi 4v. It's got enough power to do the job quickly and not enough power to strip out plastic screws. Put a 6 inch extention bit on it and you'll never have to worry about not being able to fit it in. It's what 6 of my coworkers used when I worked on office equipment (printers, fax, copiers) because it did the job better than anything more powerful. Also the battery charge lasted like 2 weeks with constant daily use.Once again i improre you all to join the 12v driver master race. I can't understand people fucking around with ratchet drivers for PC building purposes. they're total crap since the tension required to activate ratcheting is the same required to fasten the screw and the pitch is so fine and short that the ratcheting will never be used.
Ratcheting screwdrivers are a low iq purchase for PC work.
Bosch PS21 - $, brushed, basic and reliable, cheap to buy in a nice kit with 2 batteries and an impact on sale several times a year

Bosch PS22 - $$, brushless, soft-start, lower power, shorter than ps21, discontinued, but the best one for electronics/computers since it's very gentle, if you can find it

Bosch GSR12v-300hxn - $$, brushless, way more powerful, 1/2 inch shorter so you can actuate the chuck with pinky, needs trigger discipline, loud, but much more useful around the house thanks to extra power

I suppose Milwaukee fuel m12 and 12v Dewalt Atomic are also good but Bosch has the best combo of size, ergos and price.
Last Friday I was working on my sister’s house doing some new wiring. I was screwing down a wire into the neutral bar when I heard a thunk. Thinking I had stripped the screw I didn’t think much of it. Screw was still tight so I moved. Fast forward a week or so…I figured out what the thunk was. Already have a warranty replacement for this one from a broken bit holder but that’s sitting on the shelf as a collectible now. Guess time to buy a silver shaft one.
Looks like luke is finally getting a PC. Whats with linus putting his kids in these videos? Its kind of off putting and kinda feels like those pedo but not pedo videos.
Not to mention all of that artificial foliage will absolutely catch every mote of dust within the environment it is used in. Looks cool and all but the average home builder does not build an ornament that needs a 100% do over 9-12 months after first assembly.
Its worse, they used real moss in there. totally not gonna dry out and make a fucking mess. Not to mention all of that artificial foliage will absolutely catch every mote of dust within the environment it is used in. That's one way to make a fire hazard I guess. Its worse, they used real moss in there. totally not gonna dry out and make a fucking mess.
in the enterprise world tool-less actually means something. Entire assemblies could be swapped out with no tools neededI still don't understand why you would pay for a youtuber branded screw driver when you can get a serious tool brand.
Since we're on screw drivers, something that's sort of bothered me a few years ago when I upgraded my PC was how I still used a screw driver despite having tool less features like those drive bays and thumbscrews. It's dawned on me that tool less shit is basically a reviewer feature made to look good on reviews but something you barely touch afterwards.
I mean, I guess it's good if you build a lot of PCs.

I foresee no heat related issues in the future.
I learned a lesson when I bought a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv case in 2014. It's a nice looking case but airflow is abysmal and the case itself weighs as much as many finished builds. It's an absolute PITA to take it outside and blow the dust out.
