No, but somehow I knew. after xx years on the chans (I was but a wee lad when I first found them) I have acquired a keen sense for fellow shitposters. Alan was not subtle at all, he reeked of internet. I didn't imagine he would be into anything as shady as he was but im also not surprised. we never talked about tomlinson but I could have guessed he was a fellow fan of his given the way he talked about his scifi.

I find it plausible that Shade mentored Alan to swat on his behalf. It was already known that they were close, but him having Torswats private PGP key proves that they were at the very least partners. "Torswats" brand alludes to the project of a tor hidden service, which Shade was purportedly developing. Alan was 15 years old when he became involved with this.
Jonah, the sektur swatter who is obsessed with Wayne Lambright and likely runs Cowbin also has Torswats PGP key. Alan seemed to be only tangentially involved with the sektur before the creation of this thread, afaik the only cow he consistently took responsibility for swatting is Patrick Tomlinson. I believe Jonah was the one responsible for the MTG false flag among other things pertaining to the sektur which have been attributed to Alan.

Could Shade and Jonah be the same individual? I am noticing a (((pattern))).

Another intriguing question is why the feds, after having seized Alan's devices and confirming during an interview with him that they knew he was Torswats, allowed him to continue his activities for 6 months as if nothing had happened before finally arresting him.

Interesting. this is also around when he started attending Antelope Valley College. I didnt notice Alan hanging out with anyone while I was there but that doesnt mean he didn't know anyone else at the school.

There's no way he's gonna walk off easy, what he did was way too disruptive. His defense probably will be built around him being a socially stunted retard who did it all because dad didn't pay him enough attention but I can't imagine that that sticks considering the organized nature of it all, him not stopping even though apparently the law was already kinda onto him and this going on for so much time and also the fact that he even took money for doing this, which makes everything probably, oh so much worse. He's just shown such a sociopathic disregard to the damage to his victims he even taunted in quite verbose ways and potential lives lost by tying up emergency services which I'm sure will come up. The only thing that I imagine could get him somewhat out of this is if he had something the feds want and can only get from him by him cooperating but I doubt he does (he didn't use some very clever strategy, the system is just very easy to abuse nor does he know any "interesting" people, his "gang" is just a bunch of no-life misfits) and even if it's probably easy to extract out of him if you just give it some time. His life is basically over, IMO, also because they need to make sure he doesn't give other low-IQ sociopaths any ideas.

No, he is being charged as an adult even on the state charges because of the impending federal charges. If it was just a swat to randos then you'd have a good case; Alan was personally involved in literal domestic terrorism short of mass destruction events as per the federal charges go, because of the locations, level of threats, repetition of said events, and persons targeted. You don't get to say "My client was mentally incapable of doing this and didn't know what he was doing." He clearly knew what he was doing, he operated a business around specifically that.

If I were a prosecutor however, I'd be willing to work a deal with him in regards to the federal charges and the local charges before 17, (since he has been doing this since 15) if
1, He handed over his client list
2. Explains his entry into and his past/present associates in this enterprise
Given his age, and his mental illness, I'd recommend 15 years in state prison, 10 years minimum, and 20 year probation conditions that require electronic observation; and that is a liberal take during a non election year.
Since it is an election year, and there are laws currently being written in regards to everything that Alan has done that need a strong example to dissuade people from doing likewise in the future, I think that my liberal take is essentially fantasy, and he's realistically looking at 45-80 state if he plays balls, if he doesn't play ball, or the feds decide to really make a statement, life in federal prison for the very multiple domestic terrorism charges. He can hang out with the Boston bomber.

Tl;dr
No. He is fucked six ways from sunday, and not even the most progressive of bleeding heart liberal arguments will result in teflon tarding in this situation.
