I learned a lesson when I bought a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv case in 2014. It's a nice looking case but airflow is abysmal and the case itself weighs as much as many finished builds. It's an absolute PITA to take it outside and blow the dust out.
Yeah, I really like the Fractal Design Define cases, but then when I learned about the importance of airflow I no longer want one as badly. Too bad the Meshify cases don't have a cleaner looking front mesh to match the Define cases.

I got the next h7 flow and never looked back. as Good as fractal torrent, half the price, better built and looks cleaner.
fractal have become a meme of themselves

I ended up getting the Fractal Pop Air with a solid panel to replace the godawful cheapo case I had before. I'm pretty happy with it. Good airflow, fairly elegant look, easier to work on than the previous one, and I get to keep my DVD drive.

I have a Define R5 I had planned to build new in last year but I decided to wait until Nvidia releases a 5080. I don't game as much as I used to and my current PC can still run any game out there over 60fps at 3440x1440. Maybe I have just gotten old enough to accept that "want does not mean need."

i built a 16-core am4 machine with a 6950xt a couple of years ago only to realize i don't really care about new games anymore and i'm more interested in playing games 1998-2012. Could have done that on my Haswell/RX480.

Oh well, at least it's good at video upscaling.

I got a new case because the previous one was 100% thermally challenged. Single heavily obscured 120mm intake, single 120mm exhaust out the back, my 1060 would be easily hitting 80C under stress and removing the side panel would instantly improve thermals, not to mention the noise.

Now, with the same hardware and a new case with two Arctic P12's for intake and two P12's for top exhaust, my 1060 stays around 70C without the fans screeching like crazy. Plus, it'll be good to have this case in place for a future GPU upgrade, since the old case clearly would be unfit for anything more powerful than that 1060.

I got a lian li v3000+ off ebay for $200, its like a $500 case. Replaced my meshify 2 XL. I'd prefer if it had solid panels, may buy some dark tint and tint the glass.

51 still available: https://www.ebay.com/itm/134855539192

My current case is a Thermaltake Core X71... Fully kitted with 2x psus and 3x 360mm rads (or even 4, at one point) makes it quite the heckin wholesome chonkerino, and very awkward to handle with how tall it is.

But, unless motherboard standards change sufficiently, I don't see any reason to replace it. Particularly with the lack of 5.25" bays in new cases. I really don't want to deal with an external dock, and I rip shit. USB slimline bluray drives suck. I'm a pirate nigga. I steal things and upload them to the internet.

I recently got a hyte Y60 a case specifically made for liquid cooling, but I only use air coolers. It has great airflow.

75 dollarinos for a screwdriver (not counting shipping) from a noname brand?
Damn, I know getting some things for a „premium” feel is cool, but that ain’t it.
For 75$ you could go to a hardware store and go out with a toolbox full of shit to work on your pc and around your home.
And the best part of the tools that aren’t 75$ per piece? You don’t shit your bricks when you need to force something.

I don’t know if it’s just design philosophy on their part, or Linus’ narcissistic tendencies, but I’d rather respect if he did a collab with a qualified tools manufacturer, rather than try to reinvent the wheel.

I’m glad he shaved, unless you actually clean and trim a beard it looks like shit, doubly so with never getting a proper haircut.

I guess this is the start of the midlife crisis arc.

yeah a special edition / partnership at a reasonably small premium no one would have complained about but this was marketed as a revolutionary design when they basically tarted up a licensed design

Linus finally got his FAGMAN™ approved "Apple Vision Pro" and has a mild soygasm sucking Apple off unboxing it.

After a retarded skit where he dodges stuffed animals, he sobers up after seeing his Avatar.

What does Linus think about the shiny new Apple device?
Does he feel slighted that he didn't get a review copy?
Will he own nothing, and will he be happy?
Find out on the next exciting episode of LTT!
