One thing that does worry me with the lawsuit is the Rachel Maddow “literally” defense which was used to beat a defamation lawsuit from OAN. Thanks @Not Who You Think I could not find this clip or anything like it on Youtube.

It was the basis for Rachel Maddow's defense in the defamation lawsuit with OAN. Maddow claimed that OAN were "literally really paid Russian propaganda", then they claimed that "literally" actually meant "not literally" and it worked. The case was ultimately dismissed. Lawyers love their word games.

Words having alternate meanings is common, but changing the word "literally" to mean "not literally" literally goes against the whole reason the word exists.

I’m imaging a nightmare shit scenario where the lawyers representing Epik will go, “We already clarified that it wasn’t CP. We only saw a young person naked and we think a 19 year old is still a child.” The tweet that made that absurd statement is still up so clearly Epik stands by that defense.

I hate to come off like a doom poster but I just have so little faith in courts when obviously bias judges can just take an argument like MSNBC’s and clearly deny any logic in doing so.
