A streamer named Vinny Vinesauce looked through a pack of creations in a game called 'Dreams' and one of them was just a Trans Flag/Trans Rights thing that had nothing to do with the theme of the stream. He initially ignored it, then eventually just said he wanted "rip the band-aid off with this one" and passive-aggressively saying "not sure what that had to do with 'Werid Game Night', but whatever".

Part of his troon fanbase was gung-ho that he FINALLY acknowledged Trans shit on his streams (when it occasionally reared its head), but they never considered what he implied by saying "rip the band-aid off".

The streaming environ is also a chaotic one. A lot of people playing "notice me, senpai", making stupid quips, starting N-trains, posting stickers, etc. Ultimately, there's no knowing what information is going in or coming out. This is why a lot of these "apology" type videos are hilarious in retrospect because most of the time the outrage at something the streamer said or did is completely artificial and nobody really cares. People often react to something because they were told to, not because whatever thing is worth reacting over.

Speaking for myself, I've often tried to converse with people in communities like this from a standpoint of critical thinking and, all too often, I cannot get people to even remember what the streamer even said as a point of reference. Over time this has convinced me that people tune in to hear someone speak, but not necessarily to listen to what they have to say.

I wouldn't consider someone barely paying attention to him, not using his Discord etc as part of the "fanbase". If all you get out of MATI is one news segment a week you can't really say you are a fan/supporter. His chat is active in stream and his Discord has tons of horse cock references so clearly it's just the fans not caring.
