Off-Topic Things Troons Have Ruined

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Weirdly troons have ruined gendered language in relationships between normal people that have nothing to do with troons. One example is when people call their husband/wife their "partner" to avoid gendered language. "They" and "Their" being used more to refer obviously normal strangers as if their gender is a complete mystery. Maybe I'm reaching but I've noticed the avoidance of gendered becoming more popular.
No, I've seen even older, normal-seeming people talking about their 'partners' or 'spouses' instead of husbands and wives. Or someone saying things like "there's a family dispute between my parent and my sibling" like an alien.

And they aren't being weirdly paranoid about personal details either, they're often people who overshare about medical conditions or their sex lives. Like it's more embarrassing to be a man or woman than to talk about diarrhea or dildos.

Teenage rebellion. I was just talking to someone about this. Back in the day, kids would be goth or punk or whatever and delight in the strange looks from adults. Parents would reluctantly put up with it because it's a well-known stage of adolescence that most people grow out of. Now, these kids will dress like a freak and seek validation not from their peers, but from adults. Instead of it being a childhood phase, it's a lifestyle. And the consequences are pretty scary.

The nerd stuff also royally pisses me off. I was at an event that was supposed to be focused on sci-fi and games, and it turned into a bitch-fest about how the bathrooms weren't non-binary friendly.

The Y2K Aesthetic / Futuristic aesthetics in general. Revisionism of late 20th century futurism and consumerism seems to be an oddly specific and common trend with these people.

They've also seemed to latch onto the whole "low poly aesthetic" common in 5th gen consoles in the past few years, especially when it comes to matching games from that era that had a cartoony art style (Kirby 64, Mega Man Legends) or at the very least had textures that looked like pixel art.
This one I'm more furious about than anything. In terms of game development, low poly is a great way to both stylize a game and spend less resources (mostly your time) on making complex models. It's especially nice when a developer that grew up on the technology takes a crack at making their own vision. But in recent memory, fucking troon indie developers and so-called artists have perverse this idea, and essentially made it oversaturated. A few weeks ago, I saw someone opening up a commission for low poly models, and expecting people to pay 40-60$ for a character model.

The irony is that the N64 A) used anti-aliasing to prevent textures from looking too pixely, which resulted in everything looking either muddy or blurry
The only person I've ever seen doing this is the guy behind the "Legend 64" channel. Great guy.

I can't imagine ever going along with this shit. If it is, I am so sorry.
The whole Jay Kay Rawling being a bigot
It really would be YOU going to a thread about "things trooned ruined" and whine how you think someones a "bigot" because they don't like trannies wouldn't it?
aside from the fact they were children's books to being with, what I find sad are all the now 40-something year olds who are still obsessed with these books and movies.
Considering your admit you recreationally drink piss, you really are the last person who should be judging others for their hobbies.
I haven't been into harry potter myself since I was like a preteen, but coming from you (and because you obviously have the tranny loving bias) makes this comical. Because its VERY obvious you don't actually care about people being basically English versions of weebs, you care that a "transphobe" might be getting paid.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned, but the doom community. Doom is a great classic game, with a history of modding and mapping, but holy SHIT it is pozzed as fuck / infested with trannies now. The fact doomworld has its own dedicated thread means a lot. And the Marisa scenario didn't help either, unfortunately. Shame because its a good game, and has cool mods, but its community reeks of troon aids. I honestly feel bad for people who get into doom modding, and are forced to deal with that community. Fortunately Doomer boards are significantly less fucked up, and you can tell because the rest of the doom community basically think its full of nazis or something.

It is compulsory at some institutions, notably hospitals. I don't know if you can object to having to disclose your pronouns and get an exception from HR. Maybe if you make it sound like it's because you're genderqueer and think ending every email with "ze/zim/zis" is information you shouldn't have to disclose to clients because it's personal.

Tabletop RPGs, man.

My players mostly want to pretend to be knights, martial artists, wizards, holy warriors, sometimes an edgy berserker or something.

Stepping out into the wild wastes of the net looking for new players, I get bombarded by a hundred fat neckbeards who want to play their extra special slutty elf princess OC.

Back in Ye Olden Days of 3.5e, we called these people "perverts" and "banned from the table". If they weren't being actively creepy, they were getting Cheetos dust on your dice. And they never chipped in for pizza. Nowadays, we have to respect their gender identity and use our fun RPG as a way of acting out their gender fantasies.

Storytime: Not too long ago, I foolishly answered a post requesting someone to run a solo campaign for them. I had some extra time on my hands and felt it would be fun and help me plan some storylines I'd run for my main group. After learning an entire new RPG system to run it for them (no mean feat, I assure you,) this individual pestered me for ERP and, when I politely informed them I was not interested in that, they proceeded to ghost me. After I read a 300ish~ page RPG rulebook to run the campaign they wanted.

I had a feeling it wasn't a real cis woman who was on the other side, so after awhile of being ghosted, I simply said "ywnbaw" and triggered the troon instantly. Proceeded to get attacked and accused of being abusive (mind you, we had only ever communicated about RPGs, so not sure how they could tell I'm a serial woman beater).

Any corporate setting they enter. As the fear of offending them wields so much power that capitalist principles are abandoned to appease troons.

If your work is ever considering introducing a troon into a yet unaffected workplace, voice your opposition loudly.

I’m the first stop with applications at my company….i always look for LinkedIn to see that they’re not a troon before I pass them upwards.

bimbos. I blame dylan and the token right-wing troon blaire for that one. I used to like the idea of bimbos, before it got all wokie and trannies on tiktok got into it too. Like, lemme enjoy my hot silly girls that arent real and only exist in movies. don't turn them into a "movement" or "wokie" shit
That's... kind of pathetic.

Anyway, troons have ruined nothing for me because I don't let them influence my daily life.
