Palworld - Everything you have ever wanted from a Pokemon game

Oh man, I am jealous. Dinossom has quickly become a favorite of mine, so it earned a place on my team very early on. Helps that one of the first mons to almost dumpster me when I made the foolish attempt to tackle a lvl.20-25 one close to my first base camp because of its rarity.

But yours would blow mine out of the water. Must have taken a while to get to that one. Haven't been taking my breeding as seriously due to a lack of space in my three bases to get adequate viewing boxes into order, but I have been meaning to do so as soon as I can locate a stable base mod I can use for expansion.

How is she in battle? The stats speak for themselves, but with the proper abilities, I presume this little lady can become a right terror on the battlefield. She might even be able to solo a few bosses on her own too.

Watched it take down a Shiny level 50 Sibelyx. Just tanked it. Kind of boring now. I just have to watch her kill things in seconds. Range is a major issue though. Can't kill birds or flying things. I just can't seem to pull good fruits from the skill trees.

Breeding is a bitch though I had enough failures to get up to rank 5. IVs are average 50s across the board. I don't bother with those though it's a PVE game so passives are good enough for me.

A wise decision. Perhaps they will become more relevant in a future update. If all bodes well, I doubt the level lock will remain at fifty. At least, that is the hope.
With regards to your dinossom, I think you should give her a suitable name that exudes the nature of her awe inspiring power. Also, I believe that the location of the trees may influence the type of fruit you get. I've had luck in the winter mountains biome, in particular the one by the sanctuary north of there in regards to getting some decent skills.

In any case, I hope there comes a way beyond breeding to improve your existing pals beyond the condenser chamber. Breeding is fine, but I rather focus on maxing out the stats for the buds that have been with me the entire game.

Also, when you have the time, post a recording or two to the thread showing your dinossom. It'd be nice to see. I "think" there might be a native video embed for Kiwi Farms for archival purposes, but don't quote me on that. Haven't been able to find anything of the sort myself.

ChiaDino just add water, let it grow and there you go Your very own ChiaDino that exudes happiness, greenery and power and your ChiaDino is portable!

Edit: Gonna drop burly body. Why worry about defense when you can kill them with the first shot?
Yep, pure defensive bonuses are wack unless you aim to assign the Pal to a mounted HMG or something. Speed has multiple applications, and if you want your Pal to avoid a nasty attack simply recall it, and the extra zoomzoom will allow it to reengage quicker after resummoning. My swift/runner/ferocious/musclehead 4* Lovander is an absolute menace now.

The breeding pits have been built and the great culling of pals for box space has begun. Unless I'm condencing I'm keeping a male and female with either neutral or great skills. Up first are my chickens and sheep since a fully condensed one drops as much as 4-5, then my bees and moo cows for cake ingredients and one of the dragon guys to get 5 kindling on since it provides around a 100% work bonus. Planting/watering I'm sticking with Broncherries. Just need to find a decent gatherer that isn't huge

No point in the ranch. Merchants sell eggs/milk at 50 a pop.

Hey guys if you didn't know, pal merchants can be captured. They make a lovely addition to your ranch. Defects sell.

You can capture pretty much every human except for bosses. Hostiles are free, just bonk them until they crack. Wouldn't recommend it against friendlies, and in particular not against PIDF forces. They level up fast when you're wanted.

Bosses could be captured through a glitch, last I checked. Though I have not attempted it myself, I presume the glitch may still be in effect for the time being.

Edit: Yeah, still applicable, at least as of three days ago.

Speaking of bosses, I have come across a video or two detailing... Well, not an exploit, but a cheeky tactic. If you still have a free base you have yet to build, I believe you can build said free base near bosses, at least on the open world, and lure them in to an entire base worth of pals to kick their ass. I have not used the tactic myself, seeing as all three of my bases are already built up, but it seems to make short work of the greater bosses in the game, getting stun locked, hit with a variety of status effects, and so forth.

I was thinking Galadrial, Titania or Chantel.
I personally put my vote in for Titania, Morrigan (Celtic goddess of war.) or Danu. (Goddess of Nature.)

Yeah, that video is ancient. This was patched really quickly. Now when you use a ball on any boss the capture rate will always say 0% and show "X appears to be immune to spheres".
While we're on a Grizzbolt-related topic:

That was a pain in the fucking ass. I thought to myself I'd be done with breeding him, but during the same day I went to the Sanctuary island east of the desert area and found these fuckers:

Orserk seems to be the most rare, but by chance I managed to breed him from Relaxaurus and Grizzbolt, so there's 20 eggs containing him waiting for a hatch. Which also means I need to resume the grind to get a Grizzbolt with Lord of Lightning. The island also has Shadowbeaks, pretty excited to try them out as mounts. You can leave the game right outside the trespassing area, hop in again and find a new batch of Pals. Blazamut will probably get paired with Jormuntide Ignis at some point to see what comes out. I ain't looking at no goddamn spreadsheet.
Mossandas have had much worse luck. Tried mixing the grass version with the zappy version, and it gave me icy eggs with Sweepas somehow.

What are some of the best pals for getting around?
Early game, avoid Nitewing and stick with Direhowl until you can get a faster ground mount. Beakon and Ragnahawk are gonna be your next big "traversal" mount upgrades. Once you hit 50, Jetragon. One of those with all the movement speed passives lives up to its name.

On an unrelated note, here's a mockup from reddit of a feature that is desperately needed. A task assignment list. I know I'm beyond done with the "throw to assign" shit. Anything bigger than a Pengullet is damn near impossible to assign properly in any base that's the slightest bit compact because of their wonky ass hit boxes. No, Jormuntide Ignis, I did not tell you to try and mine, I THREW YOU AT THE FUCKING COOKING POT!

Hell, just being able to turn something off so I don't have a pal endlessly running a heater next to empty egg incubators without taking it apart and rebuilding it all the time. Just unlocked electric heaters, so maybe it will be less annoying now.

Just use a campfire. I'm serious. It only costs 2 wood and is always active, the only downside being that Pals (and you) can wander in and get burned. All heating devices raise the temperature by the same amount, only the affected area is different. They don't stack either, so a campfire with a heater will not do anything. Incubators in a moderate climate near a campfire will always have a hatching speed bonus (seems a bit too hot [+50%] seems a bit cold [+50%], seems very comfortable [+100%]), no matter what type they are, assuming it's daytime of course.
And here's something apropos of nothing:

Pay no mind to the Anubis or the icy fairy thing. Anubis did maybe 7.5k damage in 30 seconds before going down to 50% HP, ice moth had way too low DPS on top of being fragile, meanwhile le horny lizard just walled everything. Full disclosure, she had a complete set of ice attacks.

Just edited in a second video. Trick still works, just have to have the PIDF attack the boss, then you need to hit them with a sphere to the rear. Just did it after I posted that video, and it worked. Just need the other three bosses.

Yeah, I know now. Egg on my face. The best part is the Grizzbolt functions like a normal Pal, and can be assigned to anything a regular Grizzbolt is eligible for. :smug:

Also have to correct myself, dark eggs do not like campfires and sunlight. +1 on heat scale is too much for them.

My most recent hatch. Getting specific traits on these is becoming a bit too much of a pain in the ass, so I'm ok with settling for "good enough".
