Yeah, I know Felicia's still mildly active. I remember a brief controversy a few years back about her scolding some streamers for playing black characters in a game, but nothing besides that. I was more curious if she's had any interaction with Wil.

I remember when TNG was airing, many people said we needed to remember that Wesley Crusher was a bad character and it wasn't Wil Wheaton's fault. But I now believe that's not really true. Wil Wheaton is just fundamentally unlikable and uncharismatic. A different actor might have been able to make Wesley work. Like how Jonathan Brandis played a similar character on Seaquest DSV and nobody had a problem with it.

Nice, you got all of it. I know most frequently it's just the comments about Roxann that people bring up but as you pulled out of that video there was more to it than that and his excuse was total bullshit. And while he of course still looks like a little pipsqueak on that episode, he's a 29 year old grown ass man. And just look at his career at the timeframe post TNG(1994-2009 when he finally met Felicia Day and could end up in something for more than a side character voice, or 1-2 episodes) it's total shit. What movies had he been in, Deep Core and Python? Just some knock off movie bullshit. He didn't even make it back into Star Trek till his little cameo in Nemesis because no one wanted anything to do with him, and there wasn't some big "nerd culture is cool" for some exec to want him on their show for "nerd cred" yet. The only reason he got to where he is today, is because that The Guild crap Felicia Day was doing was able to get him for dirt cheap(and even then it's mostly just voice work because no one wants to watch his actual acting).

No one had a problem with Brandis on DSV, most people didn't have a problem with the kid playing Sisko's son on DS9, the kids that got added to Voyager later on no one had an issue with. I can't think of any other scifi shows off the top of my head that had child actors for more than the occasional appearance once or twice a season(aside from maybe Alexander from TNG I guess? And that ferengi kid from DS9 but that's still kind of a stretch), and maybe the plots involving those characters would come off kind of lame but I also don't recall any of them coming off as such an insufferable faggot as wesley crusher who consistently looked and appeared the same in everything he's been in since. It's generally not a good idea to judge an actor(unless they were legitimately god awful) based on one role because a lot of the problems can come from writing and direction(Anakin from episode 1), but holy shit Wil was always just Wil.
