Then why did she shoot a 5 year old and some old man praying in a church?
The cops shot the kid while trying to shoot her. They don't outright say it but if you know anything about cop talk....

A woman opened fire with a long gun inside celebrity pastor Joel Osteen's megachurch in Texas on Sunday afternoon before being shot and killed by off-duty police officers, authorities said.

The armed woman, who was between the ages of 30 and 35 years old, entered the Lakewood Church in Houston just before 2 p.m. local time alongside a 5-year-old boy, who was critically wounded in the shootout with police. A 57-year-old man, who is not believed to be involved in the incident, was also shot but is in stable condition, according to Houston Police Chief Troy Finner.

The suspect was gunned down by two off-duty officers who were working security at the church. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Finner said.

The injured child is hospitalized in critical condition, according to Finner.

When asked if the responding officers shot the child, the police chief told reporters he didn't know. He added, "If it was, unfortunately, and that female, that suspect, put that baby in danger, I'm gonna put that blame on her."

Who was the shooter killed at Lakewood Church?

Two people were shot Sunday at Lakewood Church. Police said the shooter was killed by off-duty officers who were at the church.

HOUSTON — An armed woman was killed Sunday after walking into Lakewood Church and opening fire, according to police.

Multiple independent sources tell KHOU 11's Jeremy Rogalski that Genesse Ivonne Moreno, 36, was wearing a trench coat and a backpack when she entered the church with a child and a long rifle. The child was also shot and was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said a 57-year-old man, an innocent bystander, was also shot in the leg.

What we know about Genesse Moreno

Finner said the shooter showed up at the church in a white vehicle before entering the building from the west side of the parking lot.

Moreno and a 5-year-old boy entered the church just before 2 p.m. and that's when police said the woman opened fire.

Two off-duty officers -- one with TABC and one with the Houston Police Department -- opened fire, killing her, Finner said.

Finner said before Moreno died, she mentioned she had a bomb. Finner said a bomb squad searched the church and the vehicle and backpack and found no evidence of explosives.

Finner also said Moreno sprayed a substance on the ground. He said investigators weren't sure what it was.

Moreno had a criminal history dating back to 2005, and previously identified as Jeffery Escalante, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety records search. Prior arrests include failure to stop and give information, assault of a public servant, assault causing bodily injury, forgery, possession of marijuana, theft, evading arrest unlawful carrying weapon.

The motive behind the shooting is unknown.

I wonder when this Jesus character will start protecting his churches. Created heaven and earth, can’t stop idiots with guns lol
I don't even know if I'd consider Joel Osteen's brand of church Christian enough to qualify.
Anyway, people always call Christianity toothless until the followers grow a spine. People are still butt-blasted about "jesus" taking abortion out of the federal government's hands and letting his followers ban it in their states. You'd be throwing a fit if churches started forming their on paramilitary security details.
