Unless I'm misunderstanding her English here, she used half a bottle of testosterone gel in a single day? That sounds like a very high dose indeed. Naturally she immediately switched to really small doses.

Unless testosterone gel is unlike just about any other medical gel I know of, the dosage is prescribed in pushes, each push containing a certain mg of active substance. Her doctor should have prescribed her a dosage in the form of x pushes y times per day applied to z area of skin, and if she's having sexual dysfunction just about the first thing a doctor would ask about is making sure she's following the instructions.

Is this an unusually incompetent DIYer? Even the MtF lunatic DIY troonshiners with their ridiculously high dosages are at least consistent about that dosage. And I guess in their defence overdosing on estrogen is basically harmless, whereas overdosing on testosterone will make your hair fall out, give you bad acne, hypertension, blood clots, insomnia, mood swings, weight gain...
