General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Last night, Lumi Tsukiboshi debuted. In their twitter bio, they list their real life identity as Diana Garnet, a big profile JP/EN voice over asrtist and singer. Has an amazing singing voice, does show it a lot through her debut.
Ok, where did you find about about this person? This hag has me hooked hard. I don't know what it is but she brings me back to being a kid with her singing.
Normally I can tear myself away from streams to do something else but I could not for this stream. Really impressive. Her model is amazing, great hair, interesting but not overdone outfit and very expressive rigging. I don't like the hair highlights but whatever.
No idea who that is but the first few results from Youtube show this vid for me lol. The Asian chick is Enna.

Damn, she really blew Enna out vocal-wise. Suisei in particular is pretty mindful about meeting the other singer in their range and level which elevates both of them in the performance. She's cuter then most EN otaku women tho.
Edit: The duality of man

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is doctor-patient confidentiality is even relevant to this case? This isn't a matter of a doctor illegally sharing Selen's info. This is a matter of one lawyer sharing Selen's info with another lawyer with some kind of NDA attached, and that lawyer then disclosing a small part of that info in some form to the rest of the talents. We don't know what that NDA looks like, we don't know if its enforceable, we don't know what it specifically asked for, and we don't know exactly how or what the talents were told about the information.
Health documents are confidential. Period. They are covered by Doctor-Patient confidentiality, but they are confidential in general. I can't just take your health documents and post them on Youtube. Legal discussions in situations like this are covered by a number of legal concepts, including Attorney Client privileges. Anything discussed between those lawyers should have only been made privy to them and their clients. If Niji broke confidentiality by showing or telling their livers anything, that is an immediate lawsuit, anywhere you go. This is just basic legal shit. No lawyer is going to discuss anything with another lawyer regarding their client without confidentiality assured. This is why Doki/Selen cleared everything she said to the public with her lawyer first.

IIRC, to be a bit more specific, he apparently decided faking his death was easier than telling the TF2 community he wanted to stop making videos to focus on college.
Who? This is all so vague I wanna know what the fuck this story is.

Doctor-Patient Confidentiality has nothing to do with this. This is a matter of private health records being shared by an employer. It doesn't matter if it was the employer's lawyers who did it, the employer is liable. Please consider the following informational pages about Canadian Federal law. They will also lead you to the actual text one of the Statutes at play here.
https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/privacy-topics/employers-and-employees/02_05_d_17
https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/privacy-t...on-and-electronic-documents-act-pipeda/r_o_p/

Of note from the Statute text (emphasis mine):
personal health information, with respect to an individual, whether living or deceased, means
  • (a) information concerning the physical or mental health of the individual;
  • (b) information concerning any health service provided to the individual;
  • (c) information concerning the donation by the individual of any body part or any bodily substance of the individual or information derived from the testing or examination of a body part or bodily substance of the individual;
  • (d) information that is collected in the course of providing health services to the individual; or
  • (e) information that is collected incidentally to the provision of health services to the individual. (renseignement personnel sur la santé)

In the case of Niji arguing that either their talents or legal counsel are unaccountable third parties for whatever reason.

4.1 Principle 1 — Accountability

An organization is responsible for personal information under its control and shall designate an individual or individuals who are accountable for the organization’s compliance with the following principles.

(...)

4.1.3

An organization is responsible for personal information in its possession or custody, including information that has been transferred to a third party for processing. The organization shall use contractual or other means to provide a comparable level of protection while the information is being processed by a third party.

Doki's personal health information was disclosed to her employer for either employment or legal purposes. That is, informing her employer why she could not report for work duties, for insurance purposes, or for notification of imminent legal action. None of that requires disclosing any information to the talents beyond, "Selen is unavailable to stream right now."

4.5 Principle 5 —Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention

Personal information shall not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law. Personal information shall be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfilment of those purposes.

This is not going into any other applicable provincial legislation either, or any law that specifically deals with health information. This is just the basic bitch privacy protections that Canadians are afforded by Federal law.

Hell, even sharing the legal docs with the talents was a huge misstep given an NDA was signed between both legal teams but the not the talents. I don't know about specific laws surrounding that, but I do know it's bad practice. Even worse practice to have the talents then go on a public stream and broadcast the information that was shared with them to thousands of people.
