General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

some speculate that she changed her work account passwords without the managements knowledge which is why they could not get into her twitter account and link-post the Elira stream.
That was my rrat for Twitter, I would have expected that the YouTube account would be tied to a Google Workspace account that ultimately Niji management could and would have commandeered by now, but then again they are retarded.

Ok, been watching a lot of the coverage on all this. What is weird is that all 3 of the drama tubers that ive seen cover this (depressed nousagi, Khyo, and Nux Taku) all have said they have other info that is way bigger than any of this in relation to niji. None of them are wanting to speak about it, just vague "its real bad" and "very illegal". Is there something that we already know that hasn't been confirmed yet?

Fulgur is tweeting on his PL claiming that Scarle "will be away from the internet for a little while" and is "not in any form of trouble". (a)

This feels like it raises more questions...
Sick double post bro.

Anyway, imagine how much face not Fulgur is going to lose when Scarle is terminated with a three page document in 29 days. Retweeting that Elira stream, then this...

What did she mean by this?

Live in 18 hours, it says. Has that changed from when you posted the link? Doesn't seem too out of the ordinary to me.

Something definitely happened in the background, that we're not privy to. I still think she got stealth-suspended, then maybe Niji JP reversed Niji EN's decision, seeing the incoming shitstorm.

And on that note, are we ready to admit that NijiEN has more than likely effectively gone rogue from the rest of the company and has no oversight at all.
That's what I've been thinking. This feels more like the last days of HoloCN than anything niji corporate has ever done, asfaik anyway. Even Gundou's termination-- as silly as it was to western audiences-- was handled with more tact than this.

I was sure hate to be Niji because not only are they getting a ton of negative presses from many people outside of the community, but they are correctly pinning this specifically on Niji and not trying to trace this on to everybody.

If Selene hadn't been so beloved by everybody they could have easily gotten away with this but instead it backfired.

I'm not certain how much I believe the idea that Niji EN is some rogue breakaway independent nation - we saw what happened to Chinami, so Japan isn't free of the nonsense, and they just lost Chihiro, who INSTANTLY came back under her own flag. Add to that what Sayu said about management, and it makes me think the EN management is Japanese people who can just about speak enough English to manage, rather than hiring Canadians, Americans, French people, etc.

Which I can agree with, anything to avoid hiring a French person.

There is no way in hell they coordinated the release of that EN liver video and statement with the CEO's video. The two videos were literally the polar opposite in terms of tone and messaging. I doubt EN knew what Riku was going to say in that video and how he was going to conduct it, and I seriously doubt the Japanese HQ okayed any part of the EN liver video, or the subsequent Twitter statement. At this point, EN are basically just doing whatever the hell they want, and the Japanese company is just clueless.
Tazumi's statement was aimed at outsiders that don't know much about the situation (crowds of dramafags pouring in, Asmongold viewers, concerned investors and Japanese) and liver statement was aimed at fans of Nijisanji EN, hence it was posted on Elira's channel. There is likely a lack of communication between JP and EN, but I doubt there is much autonomy given how notoriously micromanaged NijiEN is. After all, the reason for what's happening is Japanese corporate perms autism clashing with Western culture of mutual trust.

By the way, something that pretty much nobody talked about is that screenshots from Elira's video show that management approved audio in Selen's MV, and the reason why Selen didn't have a greenlight to post it was Mysta and Nina appearing in it, which caused some extra checks from Nijisanji. IMO, you can't even blame them. The reason why Niji and Holo are so anal about perms isn't because they are evil or obsessed with micromanaging their talents, it's because fucking Capcom almost deleted Mio's channel with copyright strikes once. One of the most insane aspects of Japan is that corporations there are punished for normal actions while evil actions are rewarded.

This is being talked about quite widely, and the fact that it was that means there's even less reason to delay it because the rights to the characters are owned by Niji themselves. They definitely made up that rule on the spot to fuck with Doki even more.
