In a former life, I lived in an area with a large amount of agricultural workers. The raids to find illegals would warn the companies first so they'd move them from the warehouses to the fields, or the other way around, so they'd never find anyone.

The only way we stop this is we punish companies hiring illegals -- knowing or unknowningly -- harshly, as well as targeting and destroying NGOs that keep causing the problem.

They'll scream bloody murder, but that's ok, it means you're hurting them and if you keep doing it eventually they'll choke to death on their own indignant rage.

That they do. I miss the days when fat blobs like Helmut Kohl would go physical with people who threw eggs at him and it requires like 4 of the security guys to hold him back. They don't make politicians like they used to anymore.

Pretty sure that Bush was the guy who invented the strategy of just not enforcing the border and then saying, "See? They'll come here anyway! Might as well just eliminate all border controls, huh?"
