People rehoming their pets on craigslist are usually in the middle of an eviction or moving across-country saga, or at the very least have some kitties who do NOT like each other and are cleaning up a lot of pee. They're in an emotional state, and usually busy with bigger concerns.Craigslist guy sounds like he's done with her bullshit and will not follow through. Good. (Sorry I assumed his gender)
I used to buy furniture on craigslist a lot. As much as you might like that chest of drawers, sometimes you can just tell from the writing in the listing that the seller is going to be difficult or crazy. It's even easier to tell with cats, because the person will write about why the kitty is nice and then justify why they can't keep it. That's a big writing sample to give you clues if someone is going to provide a seamless cat transfer. A persxn could scan the "free cat" ads for one that already mentions the cat being up-to-date on shots, or having vet records. People do know that's a selling point.
