Diseased Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

I don't think so but I believe it is the one where the victim got accused of, amongst other things, transphobia by an online mob.

Interesting to know it's alright, might give it a watch.
Yeah, book 5 was Troubled Blood, where they claimed she added a tranny villain (which wasn't true at all, like LateNightMuffin said). In book 6, The Ink Black Heart, there is crazy fandom shit and people were all "Rowling sees herself in the victim because she got cancelled for transphobia". If I remember right, this "transphobia" accusation was more of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it part of the book.

Nibba it only took you ten or so posts but you’re finally getting to the point you’re trying to make. Have my two cents:

I do genuinely believe Rowling is nobody who „hates“ anyone that didn’t personally give her good reason to do so.
But I also know what you probably think feels „off“ about the story, the whole „just the right people in charge“ reeks of 14 year old mature for their age politics fixers „if we just put very smart scientists in control everything will be perfect 🤓“.
This is not because of her hate for men (which I don’t believe she has), though granted, it might be slightly influenced by her probable and understandable dislike for traditional masculinity.

But this is the main problem with Harry Potter, and also the reason it used to be so fucking popular with leftists:
Harry Potter is an academic power fantasy. That’s it. It’s a daydream for people that had to find out that doing good in school won‘t guarantee that the tables of social hierarchy will turn around when you’re older and chad will be the not-cool one instead of you, but if only magic were real your big brain and empathy would finally give you the status you rightfully deserve for being so gifted and having so much innate value (especially compared to muggles=stupid people and bullies=evil people)…

That’s my take, with the added disclaimer that I still dearly love the original series.
It also has the Wizarding world be like this nebulous, nearly omnipotent society that seems to know everything you're doing, to being bugnut retarded over what a rubber duck is. It almost makes them sound even more retarded, not mysterious.

It's why an entire generation, especially Brits (and Americans, their even more retarded cousins), got it into their heads that they could "cHangE DA WURlD™️".

It took troons being pissed off for Rowling, in her hypocritical boomerism, to understand that the generation she helped nurture did not at all turn out to be her Hermiones or Harrys, but Death Eaters.

Please read this with puzzle pieces pre-loaded, because I’m going to talk about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. (Yes, Rowling did work on it, and no, it does not actually suck, not at all.)

In the play, Hermione is the Minister of Magic and Harry is the head of Magical Law Enforcement. At one point early on, they have a conversation in Harry’s office where they talk about whether or not everything they have accomplished is worth the time they’ve spent away from their families. Hermione is really conflicted — she mentions that she sees her secretary more than she sees her own husband and children. Harry is more cavalier because he genuinely enjoys his work and because he is really failing to see the cracks in his relationship with his wife and kids; he’s just assuming everything is fine when it is not at all fine. Thematically, this is important, because on the one hand Harry and Hermione are two people who Dumbledore said were the kinds of people who had leadership roles thrust on them rather than choosing those roles for themselves (much like Dumbledore), and on the other, they’re kind of good at it. They’re honest, not corrupt, and have strong morals. They don’t want to hide another crisis from the public, even when Draco mocks them for it. Yet, they also have to make personal sacrifices to try their best to fix the world they were handed as kids. This might be an optimistic and naive view in the minds of a lot of folks here, where everyone is really jaded and cynical, but I think it should be noted that the original book series focuses on characters who are kids, yet thrust into extraordinary circumstances. Harry Potter is a story about power and choice — both Dumbledore and Voldemort are extremely powerful wizards, yet the paths they choose in terms of using that power are very different. Dumbledore is accused at several points of hiding himself away in Hogwarts rather than becoming the leader that he was obviously meant to be (including by Harry in Cursed Child), and maybe if he had been more proactive, Voldemort would not have achieved the power and influence he did.

I think the view you have here is really simplifying something very complex at the heart of the series. There’s tons of examples in the series of ineffectual politicians and leaders, and people like Dumbledore who didn’t necessarily rise to the role they should have had. Harry and Hermione attempt to meet their own moments, but it’s not easy for them, either, and the world with them as leaders isn’t perfect, but it’s also a lot more fair and honest.

Has Harry started to refer to us as Muggles all the time? Has he acclimated himself to Wizarding society so much, he's become detached to us normal folk? That's the impression I get whenever Muggleborns or half bloods enter that world.

"Jaded and cynical". No, we're not. It may seem that way, but we're actually some of the most idealistic people you can find. It's just that a lot of it is balanced and grounded by something called real life.

I’ve just finished rereading Ink Black Heart and at one point a forum user in the IBH game refers to the game creator as Dear Leader. Made me giggle and think of here. I did wonder if JKR ever lurks here 🤔.

That whole legal fund thing did get a lot of money awfully fast.

Maybe if you check behind the scenes you'll see $100k of it was contributed by an anonymous donor calling themselves "Anna Rolling".

Aidan is so mad I had to look him up, because I was convinced he was a pooner. Nope, turns out he's a biological male in a very convincing pooner cosplay. I'd be angry at God too, to be honest.

As I'm typing this on my phone, my hands are shaking both from laughing hysterically, and murderous rage over how much I want to punch this fucker's face in to see if he bleeds pink.

For research purposes, of course.

The doctor was either too aggressive with the forceps or was built like He-man, holy shit that is one unfortunate head shape.

A reminder of what that 'entire country's independence movement' wanted to put in women's prisons:

That brave little country standing up to evil imperialists in a life or death struggle against all odds to reclaim its god-given right to self determination, which somehow Rowling single-handedly cock blocked?
Scotland.
This is just a glam up. Show this fucker's real face.
