Wow, what a story! I do wonder about all of Dave's stories. I'm thinking about his dad withholding his medication and providing it only by court order. Is there any truth whatsoever to that story? Maybe I'm naive, but the way I see things, when people make up huge lies, there is usually some sliver of truth that is just horribly misconstrued. But this sounds so implausible. Also, he supposedly only got the opiates after 3 weeks? It seems crazy to me that an opiate would be prescribed for that long, even after back surgery.

Anyway, my takeaway from this is that say what you will about Dave, he can actually feed himself. No, he can't provide the money to cover his needs, but he does go to the store and cook. That's more than you can say about a lot of lolcows on this site.

Why does Dr. Joe Muscato get 2 fridges full of food while Danielle gets none?

He gets so hysterical with this shit and is so mentally ill he thinks people will buy his ridiculous lies. Who the hell has ever heard of taping a refrigerator shut because there was too much food in in? What old person has 5 deep freezers full of food? Dave says he's been eating frozen pizzas and shit for weeks. You know who could have a full fridge if they weren't eating $40 worth of microwavable goyslop per day?

Columbia has 23 food pantries in the downtown area alone. Two serve elderly people, but the rest are open to anybody on different days and provide different kinds of options, including cooked meals.

it's in the last few pages-- in this long transcript he explains that his disability is PTSD, from his dad waking him up from his midday couch naps:

So I have to coordinate with somebody else and so on and find somebody willing. You know, it's it's not easy. It's a lot easier to just choose when I do this and do it for my living room. And again, not this pays the bills because I just I'm just chatting and playing guitar. But like anyway, my point is, I'm sad that I miss being able to perform music. I would bet that dave is addicted to pain medication and his father tried to cut him off from it because he didn't want his son to continue being a drug addict. If any of it is true, I would strongly suspect that months or years of drug addict fuckery preceded it.

The idea that retail theft only affects the fat cats at the very top is teenager logic. Anyone with half a brain knows that shrinkage comes out of hours offered for individual workers, and any potential bonuses they might get.

Also, if his disability claim is based entirely around PTSD, I'm thinking he's probably not going to get it. Unless he works with multiple mental health professionals on a regular basis who are willing to write up statements that he's showing little to no improvement despite being consistently compliant with treatment, I highly doubt a judge will be convinced. Nevermind that the origin story around this alleged PTSD is complete bullshit.

I can see you're confused about Danielle's civil rights activism here. What Danielle is doing is attempting to increase theft costs so much that self checkouts are eliminated, meaning more workers who are entrusted to catch scofflaws. Then Danielle can turn her attention to working for higher wages for those workers and lower costs on the food. But a jealous narcissist like you or Dr. Joe Muscato probably can't think that far ahead and see how the plan all comes together for a better society because you're too enraged by how good of guitar player Danielle is.

His ass will steal a ribeye, but won't go to a food pantry. There are community kitchens in my area that offer free weekly meals, no questions. There is a farm that has what they call a giving table at their farm stand where farmers drop off fruit and vegetables free for the taking to people in need, no questions asked. The Vet Centers keep non-perishable food for veterans, all you have to do is ask. Town offices give out no interest loans and micro grants for heating during the winter. I'd be willing to bet I could talk a local clerk into giving me something if I was hard up. This is in economically depressed rural New England. Dave has options, but those handouts aren't good enough for him.

I'm sure it sucks and you have to swallow your pride, but I'd also imagine that actually going hungry or you kids going hungry is a great motivator. Dave is just looking for excuses to sit on his fatass, get high, and eat ribeyes and frozen pizzas for the rest of his life.
