Usually schizophrenia develops due to genetic disorders, but Patrick is one of those environmental cases where outside sources caused this. Though environmental cases are usually due to parental issues as a young child from maternal health and bahaviour to just hot the child was raised, but this is clearly due to long exposure to social media.
