Feels like this is one of those servers that is more like a minor red flag than anything.

I disagree with you, here's why:
Minors should not be in a position of authority, even on something as little as being a discord mod. A discord of 100 children with 5 underage mod playing pretend is kids being kids, no harm no foul.

There are 3k people here, 300 online on average, 1000 on busy days.

Who the fuck are the two other adult discord mods? I don't know them, they might be sex pests or barely adults trying to adult. Staff incidents? Rp? Erp in DMs? Why are staff incidents hidden, what are they hiding? Did you EVER see a staff confessions channel in your life? I sure didn't.

Kids do not have the brain capacity to know right from wrong fully. The two others are barely adults. That is not acceptable protection offered to underage users.

The astolfo cult we are in agreement and the founder of the server should be thrown off a bridge.

Tl;dr= kids are stupid and don't have the experience to properly recognize a threat.

I respect your sperging and while I will agree with you on the position of authority, lord knows I've seen how that fucks with kids heads to begin with, you also need to understand that what you're seeing is not uncommon on discord in the slightest.

There are hundreds of thousands of discord servers (If not half or 60% of them really) with staff that are mostly kids and with the same kind of rules and faggotry. And while your concern is valid, it's just one of the million examples as to why discord is such a shitty platform. And that's not inherently a platform issue because as someone who's been chronically online over the years I've seen this kinda horseshit happen in every single god damn platform that had a chat function, hell even god damn forums back in 2005. Discord is just so convenient for kids that it's much easier to do that in it and that's why you hear so many god damn things about it to begin with.

Also, staff incidents chats are far more common than you think. Since it's teenager communities with discord being discord, of course there's gonna be a lot of autistic drama that nobody gives a fuck about. I'm sure if you found a way into that channel, chances are you won't see any CP but just some screenshots about how someone said "Nigger" and got demoted. Don't underestimate a discord user's ability to be autistic. This happens, a lot more than you think.

It's why I'm not exactly sure why I should care about that one when the cult one is far more egregious and the owner seems to be pretty proud of it. Not saying your point is wrong, more so saying that the second one is a very common occurrence and while you should still keep an eye out, the astolfo cult thing is something I'd dig deeper into first.

edit; to clarify the discord support ticket part, if anyone encounters CP on any discord/etc it's their obligation to report it to their local LEO. discord might moderate it (or might not) but they're also enabling it. plus i dunno how you feel about this but reporting it to discord runs the risk of the discords being continually shut down which may or may not be your goal - i haven't finished reading the whole thread yet.

Whether that's a good or bad thing, who knows - maybe it needs to be worded a little clearer. Initially I too had wondered that whether linking it at all was OK but there's a thread on the sharty and other chans here and we all know the problems they have.

I tweaked a rule to be more direct and less up to interpretation.

The discords I've linked don't have CP front and center, if there even is any it'll be in one of those hidden mod only channels. I left the discord ticket up because if there is evidence of CP, legally speaking discord has to provide interested authorities with the users personal information (including IP) for violating terms of service.
