I share this sentiment. What we see on social media and in this thread is the vocal/noisy minority that posts every single dollar they (allegedly?) receive until each of their fundraising goals are met. Most e-beggars, especially those that don't tick off enough SJW-friendly check boxes, most likely get very little in the way of grift money and - assuming they are truly destitute - are lucky to subsist day to day and online posting is a low priority for them when they have to decide what they will and won't spend their meager funds on each day.

What they do have in common is their vices and poor decision making that ensures they will most likely never get ahead in spite of any efforts to do so.

It's because she, like most other e-beggars, doesn't want to do any actual work and they're still snobby. People give away furniture all the time on FB, CL, etc. But they're "icky" used things to her.

And she's also bad with money, like asking for an $18 case of individual cereal bowls. You could buy 3 or 4 big bagged cereals for that much. But that's for generic brands, which are too poor for princess.

If you lurk on local classifieds, at some point someone will give away a furniture flat pack that's never been opened. You can make your own chair from fucking tree branches, an old rope and bedsheet if you have to.

A ways back, a user discussed learning how to make his own furniture out of cardboard when he was skint on the arts and craft thread.

The shelves in my garage are immaculate surplus planks I rescued from a neighbour's skip when they finished with their renovations, and old bricks I got free from randoms on fb. Hell, I got a nice solid timber bookcase free not too long ago, from a bloke who had to move suddenly. It was a massive drama getting it back to our place, but we managed in the end.

An old housemate moved into our house with nothing left after the advance rent and bond... he contacted the Salvos, and they delivered a new bed and mattress to him. Yeah, they were shit quality, but they held up under the housemate's weight until we kicked him out.

If you live in a first world country, in a reasonably populated area, and you are patient, and you network, you can get pretty much everything you need for free. Two people on my local give away group have listed working fridges in the past three days. Having two come up so close together is a little unusual I'll concede, but they came up regardless.
