Ahh, funny you should mention that. Because Dalton was adopted by a loving, wealthy couple who highly valued education and look how he turned out. Alas, I was unfortunately never able to determine at what point in Dalton's life the adoption occurred or the why's and how's, so, for all we know, he may have already spent too much time with his birth mother before he came to live with the Colclasure family. I know I need to continue my Dalton series because it really has some lulz but it's a lot of depressing shit to sort through.

On the Sammie side though, I do want to point out one thing I know to be true (1) and one thing I'm reasonably certain is true (2) (and my apologies if this has been mentioned before):

1) There is no one in Darnell's family named Ardis, period. The person Sammie portrays as "Ardis" is actually, I think, Lauren Holmes which we kind of knew already but I just wanted to confirm that. You can always tell a true Lauren profile from a Sammie profile because Lauren always says "Think you" instead of thank you when she replies to complements on her profile.

These are Darnell's grandparents who had a long, loving marriage:

2) I'm reasonably certain that Karen Sparks, Karen Holmes, Karen Sparks Holmes, et al, is still alive and well and possibly living in Saginaw Michigan (I should mention that it does appear that her middle name may actually be Ardis but that's the only one) . Not only is there no obituary for Karen (which is rare for the extra melanin folx) but, of all the kids and grandkids I was able to find on Facebook, not a single fucking one has said a word about Karen Sparks kicking the bucket. I'm guessing Darnell has been telling Sammie all along that she's dead to spare his poor mother the embarrassment of having to have Sammie in her life. Darnell knows Sammie will never have the money or self-discipline to get herself to Michigan so ne'er the twain shall meet.

Unfortunately, the main reason why this one is hard to nail down is because Karen Sparks is the name of like the only Ted Bundy victim to survive or some shit. Googling it brings up nothing but articles about Bundy.

Your link no worky but thank you for the recap all the same! I have some updates about the rest of Dalton's birth family and how they made out. Plus, just some other odds and ends.

Next wanting to put the baby up for adoption arc incoming? He'll never be a father, and she'll never be a mother. And Shartmom doesn't need another child to care for. This baby-baiting-to-hold-onto-a-ghetto-trash-man I will never understand. Something's missing in the brain.

I loved the DNA doesnt make you a parent, your presence actions and effort does. Lucy and Bentley are still waiting for that.

She got mad at that dude telling her “A man only does what you allow him to”, but in her case, that’s correct. He keeps cheating and she keeps going back to him over and over ad infinitum. It’s not her FAULT that he keeps cheating, but she puts herself in that position, repeatedly. Of course, Sammie is a stubborn cow who has the accountability of a toddler, so she doesn’t listen. It’s sad that a hillbilly retard is the voice of reason here. And it’s funny that she gets a dose of her own cheating ass medicine.

I don't think he's actually cheating on her though. Other than that time she snuck him recently to take a photo op with Sabrina's baby, I don't think Darnell is allowed in Casa De Shart, certainly not to sleep over. I think he's living in some trap house or group home and I think he gets all doped up and nods out for like 5 hours. Sammie blows up his phone the whole time and jumps to conclusions that he's cheating on her and goes ballistic. Then when he wakes up and calls her back, he explains the situation and she forgives him.
