The Elder Scrolls

I haven't spent hardly any thought on Starfield, but I do wonder if it's as disappointing as it is due to poor design or if it's due to limitations of their new engine or whatever. Either way it's not good news for TESVI, but I feel like if the engine just sucks they'll at least have a better understanding of its limitations and how to creatively work around them; but if it's all by intention and they're just that creatively bankrupt it's over.

I remember when I quit video games 8-9 years ago (jfc) thinking there were three things that might drag me back in: a Titanfall sequel, a PC port of Halo 3, and TESVI. Now that two of those things have come and gone without hooking me, I don't think I'll feel too bad no matter how TESVI turns out. If it's good, that's great, but if it sucks, I'll keep living in the real world. It's an abstract kind of feel.

It's both, on top of some shitty writing.

Even if you take away some of the major limitations present (I, personally, didn't mind the interior loading for example), there's been allegations that they literally didn't get space flight/combat right until just before release, which makes it sound like they spent an exorbitant amount of time getting THE major gameplay component finished which you know means the rest of the game suffered.

I never really thought that teaser was EBIDANCE that TES6 would be in Hammerfell, that teaser was just to dangle a carrot in people's faces backed by some generic landscapes. It might've not even been in pre-production by then.

I have zero interest in any mods like tamrieal rebuilt and skywind/skyblivion etc. Mostly because it's a group of retards thinking they cam somehow do better than the actual devs despite relying almost entirely on pre maxe/designed assets and concepts. If you were truly that great, you wouldn't be wasting time making free mods. You'd be making your own game or making the official material better by being employees with some amount of sway. Not to mention any mod that uses its own in-house voice acting is dogshit. Todd and his VA's might not be the best the industry has to offer, but they're better than literally all of the VA's these various mods hire on. The only good thing about AI taking away creative jobs is that we'll finally have some half decent voice acting to turn to.

I'm starting to have zero hope for TES6. Which is painful. TES is my favorite gaming IP ever, and I've never not been excited and happy with what was delivered. Even if I had to mod some shit to be more inine with my particular autism like everyone else. But after seeing Starfield, which I refused to buy or play, my expectations for 6 have tanked tremendously. Same goes for the next mainline fallout for that matter.

Saying that the Elder Scrolls is your favorite gsne franchise, yet you deride Tamriel Rebuilt because it doesn't have Master Todd's lore blessing is madness. TR expands and builds upon Morrowind in almost every way. How can they do better than the "actual" developers? Well they've had 20 fucking years to work with it, alot longer than Bethesda. You sicken me and should be hung from a lamp post
