Borderlands (1, 2, 3, The Pre-Sequel, TftB)

I wonder if randy bitch slapped him with the same hand he uses to jerk off to lolicon?
You mean the "barely legal magical camgirl porn" Randy admitted to watching at work (to "study for his magician act"), saving on a work flash drive that also contained sensitive work data, which he then lost at a Medieval Times and had to bribe a teenager with Borderlands merch to get back?

He's talking about the tales games.

Yeah, the globohomo writing got so obnoxious from Pre-Sequel on, particularly with the mechanic chick (a.k.a. 'Space Scooter') where so fucking much of her conversations had to underscore the fact she was a lesbian, including how Mr. Torgue somehow gets involved which is SUPER cringy.
Pretty much and comparing them to their appearance in Borderlands 2's commander lilith DLC. Just don't bother with that one. Any other DLC in BL2 is fine.

Honestly I felt like they were already phoning it in with the Tiny Tina DnD Parody DLC. The actual plot was fine for what it was but goddamn the pop culture references felt so unnatural and forced because they were done in a way that if you didn't explicitly know what was being referenced then the humor was entirely lost - except for the one literally meant to be forced by giving Mordy all the Downton Abbey references he wanted because he never watched Game of Thrones and everybody else was getting confused.

I had forgotten about that tbh. They were so focused on forcing those pop culture references they even gave the DLC a full game sequel that they eventually gave away for free and I still haven't bothered playing.

In case anybody missed it...Randy Pitchfuck has already declared the movie the first in YET ANOTHER FUCKING CINEMATIC UNIVERSE.

I'm not even sure how you would get a cinematic universe out of Borderlands, since there's barely enough plot for a linear sequence of looter shooters and the only worthwhile long term villain is Jack who's fucking dead at the end of 2 and they probably aren't going to use the 'break in case of emergency' AI Jack because they left it open if Rhys destroyed him or not at the end of Tales.

Ugh, the headhunter packs were some weird mix of fanservice and cash grab to avoid making full DLC content patches. The only one I even marginally liked was the Christmas one where you get to meet Grandma Torgue and she has an extremely long story you have to pay attention to, because halfway through she'll quiz you to see if you've been paying attention and you have to start over if you give a wrong answer.

I never got to play BL1 but aren't there some pretty memorable bosses/characters there too? Sure they never used them because they kind of died, but I can see something like that working for Borderlands. It'd need to be in the hands of competent people though.

Did anyone ever play the standalone release of Assault on Dragon's Keep? I've been seeing it on the PS Store for a while now, apparently it's got some added in content compared to the original Borderlands 2 release? Anyone got any thoughts on it?

EDIT: Also, now that I think about it; how's the actual Wonderlands game? Any decent?

>No Brick
I know Dave Bautista is in everything nowadays but did the hacks making this movie not once consider "Hey this guy who's a dead ringer for Brick who's also super popular because of capeshit might just make a good candidate for a live action version of Brick."
Was John Cena not available?

Gearbox finally officially revealed the newest Borderlands game not written by Anthony Burch.
Borderlands 3 was worse than 2 despite having no involvement from Anthony Burch.

I really don't understand what went wrong. All the new classes were not fun to play and their skill trees were annoying. The story was worse than a Tumblr fanfic. Despite having finished the game I can't remember a single enemy from it.

Gonna disagree here, Moze is easilty the most fun of the "summonable death machine" classes. Putting dual nukes or dual railguns on the mech was great fun, actually doubly so becuase the skill was a powerhouse throughout the entire playthrough, even in endgame at mayhem 10. It would still melt vs corrosive enemies, but that's what elements do.
Roland's turret was only actually useful vs Crimson Lance during Armory runs, and only if you had it on corrosive level 5. Completely worthless otherwise.
Axton's turret was irrelevant on TVHM/UVHM, basically getting demoted to a slag machine, dealing pathetically low damage. The shield would literally collapse after getting hit by a single bullet and the nuke deploy was dealing like 15k damage with most basic mooks having 30m hp on UVHM OP8.
Deathtrap might as well not have existed. Gaige only had anarchy going for her.
Wilhelm's drones were the "boring but effective" type. Dealing respectable damage on TVHM, but mostly because the health scaling wasn't pants-on-head retarded and slag did not exist.
I haven't played enough of Doppelganger to really have an opinion. Couldn't even be assed to cheat a high level character in, but I heard the skill was shit and the most broken build was centered around money stacks.

aaaand that's my defense, I didn't play any other class in 3 past the prologue.

Didn't BL3 also have an AGP on the writing staff?
AGP?

Moze did look fun. All the other classes don't really compare to Borderlands 2.

Because BL3 failed miserably they couldn't milk it for years like they did with BL2. So we're getting a Borderlands 4 and I predict that it will somehow be worse than 3.
