I hope Sammie, like millions of other women, is given BC pills without being tested for a very common clotting disorder (Factor V Leiden) that makes taking BC lethal.

Factor V Leiden doesn't make hormonal birth control "lethal", it just increases the risk of thrombosis, probably not by as much as the initial paper suggested. It's not like an instant death sentence. We need something more reliable to happen to Sammie, which is why I suggested amniotic fluid embolism.

I'm beginning to think the only thing they care about is if the kid has a literal roof over its head. It can be leaky, the kid could be malnourished, not attending school and mom/dad can get arrested multiple times but as long as the child isn't sleeping under a bridge, it's all fine.
